A Day With A Suwa

Rei stirred awake, peeking one eye open when he heard noise coming from the kitchen, only to see Kazuki rustling around and getting ready for something. "Where are you going..?" the man groaned, sitting up and immediately regretting it. He didn't drink enough to be hungover but his head felt heavy like it was filled with sand.

"I have to give Kyu-chan the files from our mission last night, because I know you wont do it", Kazuki huffed as he placed said documents into a backpack along with other items. Rei wondered how the blonde was so fine after having drunk the most last night, but then again, Kazuki was no stranger to alcohol.

At the mention of last night, Rei recalled the events, remembering the mission with Y/N, the walk home, and especially the drinks afterwards. Annoyingly, he could only remember snippets after the drinks started. Who would've thought that Y/N was a giggly drunk? Every little thing last night was funny to her and the two boys would catch her giggling to herself randomly too. He's sure that he'll remember more once his brain clears up.

"You can come with me if you want?", Kazuki offered but was immediately rejected by Rei. "Oh c'mon Rei, you need to get out of the house. Get some fresh air, you look like you've never had alcohol before".

"Nooo... too tired".

Kazuki sighed at his lazy roommate but then had a thought. "At least go and see what Y/N's doing today".

Rei then looked around, realizing that the girl wasn't here. "Where is she...?"

"Y/N went home not long after I woke up, saying that she wanted to freshen up and water her plant. It was weird, she seemed a little flustered for some reason. I said she could use the shower here but she's a stubborn girl", Kazuki rambled. "Anyways, I'm going to be out for a while today so go and do something out in the city. Take Y/N with you too, she's probably back in her bed sleeping".

"Eh..? Why?"

"Trust me, it'll do you both some good", he said, taking out his phone.

"Wait, what are you doing?" Rei questioned as Kazuki tapped on the device before putting it to his ear. The lazy boy was only met with a smug look in return. He was calling Y/N.

Kazuki listened to the dial tone before it answered. "Oh hey Y/N-chan! Listen, I have somewhere to go for the day and Miri needs a few things before school tomorrow. Do you think you'd be able to get them? Mhmm, uhuh. Okay, great! I'm sending Rei to go with you by the way. He'll be at yours in an hour".

Kazuki hung up right as he said that last bit and and paid no mind to the look of betrayal on his partners face. The blonde then slung the bag over his shoulders and made way for the door but stopped just before the hallway. "Oh, and Rei? Don't think that I haven't forgotten about what you did to me last night", Kazuki said while rubbing his thigh. His face looked horrifying and the memory flashed through Rei's mind of him shooting Kazuki with Y/N's dart bow. He groaned, having a feeling that he'll be forced to do dishes and cleaning duty for the next week.

Kazuki left the apartment and Rei flopped back down on the sofa. "It was her fault for giving it to me...".

Standing on the sidewalk outside of her apartment building, Y/N looked up to the sky and smiled, feeling the warm sunlight kiss her skin. Kazuki's call earlier had confused her slightly but she didn't mind doing anything to help them, especially when it came to Miri, and getting out for the day seemed like a nice idea anyways. She wasn't as affected by last night as she expected, only a little bit of drowsiness that went away after a shower and some food.

Y/N looked down the street and into the distance as the rumbling of a motorcycle grew nearer. Just when she thought it was going to pass her, she was surprised to see that it began slowing down until it pulled over to her side of the street and stopped a few feet in front of her.
