"Okay, lets go over it one more time", Kazuki spoke as he pulled up to the location and parked the car just off to the side. We weren't in his little yellow car but a borrowed black sports model with a polished paint job, curtesy of Kyu-chan for the mission.

I sat in the back with Rei as he loaded his gun with bullets. "Rei and I are going to enter through the main entrance with the other guests while you infiltrate through the staff door".

"Right, then once I'm position I'll give you guys the signal for the next phase", Kazuki added. "Do you both have your earpieces in?"

I double checked mine was working and nodded before checking over my equipment, ensuring I was fully equipped and ready to go. "Rei and I will be scouting the main floor in the meantime, then it's all up to chance and skill after that".

We all gave each other a final nod before Rei and I stepped out of the vehicle and into the chill of the night.

Let the mission begin.

A few days ago....

The three of us were sitting comfortably on the couches back at their apartment, discussing the upcoming mission. We all had the situation drilled into our head but needed a plan, and so far we've come up empty. Planning missions with others was new to me, but I didn't know it would be this difficult. We've been at it for hours.

"I think you two should go as a couple!"

"Huh?" I deadpanned, unsure if I heard him right. The other male assassin diverted his attention from his phone and looked like a kid who was told to do the dishes.

"Think about it, instead of us all sneaking in, lets use your undercover skills and just walk right through the front door", Kazuki explained. Rei and I looked at each other, unsure of the idea. We both knew of the other's capabilities but neither of us have worked as a team before, not to mention play a role such as a couple.

"Oh c'mon, don't be like that! Neither of you can operate tech like I can. It'll make you stand out less too!".

I stared at my notebook with a bunch of crossed out ideas scribbled on the page.

Hmm, I've never done a mission like this before... but now that I think about it, it might actually be exhilarating! This will be just like the spy movies I love so much! The ones where the male and female do all those special agent things and look like the coolest people in the world!

A massive smile crept onto my lips and I couldn't contain the excitement swelling in my chest.

When will I ever get this chance again?

"I'll do it".

"Eh...?"

...Present...

We were all so busy preparing and training that three days went in the blink of an eye. We had to memorize the layout of the location, get the outfits, gather enough weapons and tools, and wait for Kyu to forge us some company I.D passes. Miri was currently having a sleepover at her friend's house from preschool, so at least we didn't have to worry about that, unlike the time those idiots brought her with them on that one job.

Right now, the mission objective was to infiltrate a business party that was being held within the company building. A client approached Kyu-chan a while ago and he was willing to pay a large sum of cash for documents kept in the CEO's office. Only my brother knew what were on the documents, but it didn't matter to us, our job was to simply retrieve them. Nothing more, nothing less.

I was a little worried since we were strictly told 'no casualties', which is fine by me but Kazuki said Rei tended to be a little trigger happy at times, so I'll have to keep an eye on him. While Rei and I are inside, Kazuki will be setting up in his hiding spot somewhere in the building and his job is to guide us through the place. He'll be deactivating security cameras, informing us of potential threats, opening restricted access areas, etc.
