But your wonderful freckled face
Will remind me of happy memories
That I shared with you in that phase.
One day I'll forget your face
But the fragrance of lilac you gave
Will remind me of wonderful days
Which we spent together and safe.
One day I'll forget your fragrance
And our memories will get bleaker.
The memories of your presence
Will continue making life clearer.
One day I'll forget what we shared together
And then nothing of us will remain.
Still, I know I will cherish forever
How the love that you gave kept me sane.
