Chapter 27

Sahari's POV

It was around 8 am now , I slowly got up trying to find my phone .I walked downstairs and spotted a note on the kitchen island .

I'm in the gym , you know where to find me

I smiled washing my hands , I checked the took out the things I needed to cook .

I am making ackee and salt fish with fried dumplings, I know he doesn't really love coffee so I made chocolate tea .

I was turning down the stove , he wrapped his arms around my waist pulling me back into him .

He kissed my cheek before turning me around , He hugged my waist and rub my butt .

" Hey baby" I rub his back , I turned to off the stove as I realized he still hasn't answered

I looked up at him and he looked sad , I took his hand and made him sit on the stool by the island .

" Hey what's wrong" I lifted his head , I pulled his face down to me as I kissed his forehead . I hugged him ,

" I don't mean to worry you it's just that I really don't want to lose you or Milani..... you guys literally make my day" I smiled as I rubbed his cheek ,

" I'm happy that you think that and I really don't wanna lose you too..... come mek wi go have food before it gets cold"

We wanted to be entertained so we went to the living room , we went on Netflix trying to find something.

We eventually started watching something it was quite funny

" Babe this food is so good" He pecked my cheek

And I smiled , I washed the dishes after we finished eating .

I was at home doing laundry, I realized Milani isn't playing like usual . I had made her food and she's in the living room watching the TV .

I realized she wasn't really eating the food but I still tried and she cried . I found it really weird and she touched her ears when crying

I thought she was just throwing a tantrum, I peeped through the door to see her laying on the couch .

I was finished now , I picked her up and brought her to her bed .

I just got to work I'm late today because Lani was crying and didn't want to get in the tub . I got so frustrated I just wiped her off and packed her bags leaving her at my mom's

I signed in , and started working.

I heard my phone ringing, I picked it up and it was Jude

" Sai mi deh outside di baby have fever her face literally red and she did ah cry and hold har ears" I panicked hearing that I ran out of the lab towards the parking lot

I should have known that something was wrong because of how she was behaving.

I saw Jude walking towards the entrance of the hospital, He passed her to me and handed me her bag .

" I have to get back to work and I'm sorry I can't stay" He kissed her head , and I hurried inside

I placed her bag on the chair and she started crying touching her ears , I kissed her forehead and started rubbing her ears .

" Dada" she cried and I sighed I bit my lips leaning onto the wall . I felt a tear roll down my cheek , I really don't want to cry

Everyone in the room was looking at us , because they knew that I worked here . Rome was walking by with a clipboard and he furrowed his brows together walking over to us

" Hey what's wrong with her?" He asked as soon as he was infront of me ,

" Dada" she cried and stretched towards him , I wiped my nose and he sanitized his hands and sprayed alcohol over his body before taking her .

Wah mi did tell unnuh seh , not even di nurse couldn't touch him

Every one looked at us once she called him her dad , even the workers and the patients smiled .

" Da" She hiccuped as she touched her ears

" It's okay baby ... Dada is here" he kissed her forehead, he picked up her bag and started walking to his office

I followed behind him , he sanitized the bed and placed her on it .

" She's burning up Sahari" he said turning to me and I couldn't find words , It's my fault I should have known that something was wrong because she was touching her ear

I just wanted to cry , I bit my lips trying to blink away the tears .

He picked up the telephone, calling the nurse to set an ice bath . I took her clothes off leaving her in a little tights ,

They placed her in and she screamed out crying and I turned away wiping my eyes .

They took her out after awhile , and Rome started talking to me .

" She has an ear infection that's why she's been rubbing her ear and crying , you can collect the medication down by the pharmacy"

I walked out , and when I opened the door it was just a small amount of people inside . I walked to the front handing the pharmacist the paper with Rome's signature on it .

After finding all the medication, I handed her my card . She swiped it and gave it back and I walked back to his office .

My mind was all over the place , I really didn't want her to get sick .

Awww, she called him ' Dada' I wanna cry ......

It must be really painful because she keeps holding her ears .
