lydias pov

waking up to the sound of beeping, i slowly open my eyes to see the hospital room around me. Allison's brunette hair sprawled out onto my thighs as she lays sound asleep leaning onto my bed from the hospital chair. it makes me happy knowing i will always have her by my side especially at a time like this, i have never felt so weak and also disappointed in myself. I do not know how i let this happen to me, i am usually so aware on my surroundings and my senses being a banshee and all.

with a shaky breath i touch Allison's hand gently which was enough to startle her awake. "Lydia" she gasps squeezing my hand with tears welling up in her eyes. she jumps up and hugs me which reminds of bruises on my back that are still pretty fresh but healing. i wish i healed as fast as wolves did because OUCH. she slowly releases when she hears me suck in air but i gave her one last squeeze before she can finally let go.

"i was so worried about you Lydia, we all were, we went looking for any possible clues, Scott could not catch a sent anywhere in your house it wasn't until we heard you scream we finally knew you were still in beacon hills and we all rushed to help. Lydia im so so sorry we couldnt get there sooner i-" "Allison" i cut her off laughing softly at her word vomit.

"im okay now" i tell her. but im not sure if im trying to reassure her or myself. she smiles softly back at me.

'your mom should be back soon she was getting the police off our case" Allison told me when she saw me start to look around the room.

"thats one perk of having a powerful and genius mother" i laugh and so does Allison. suddenly my mother walks into the room along with our family doctor and a nurse.

"Lydia" she breathes out rushing over to me with the same look in her eye Allison had just moments before. "youre awake" she states as she grabs my hand giving a squeeze and leaning down to kiss my forehead.

"hi mom" i say softly, i feel like i haven't seen her in forever she is usually so busy. but i guess when your daughter goes missing you get a chance to free up your schedule. and i am seriously grateful she is here.

"Lydia, i am glad you are here with us. you will be able to go home today after we fill out a bit of paper work but you should make a speedy recovery. you have severe dehydration along with losing a lot of weight due to not eating for so long, so just make sure to stay home for a while and rest up. your mother reassured us that you would not want any kind of therapy but if you change your mind you know how to contact us. the nurse is gonna run a quick exam just to make sure everything checks out while your mother fills out the discharge papers and you will be on your way." Dr. Clark says smiling warmly at us before asking if we had any questions to which we had none.

my mother follows Dr. Clark nods and asks my mother to follow her and the nurse began checking on me and unhooking me from all the machine and IV's. next thing i knew i was being escorted in a wheelchair to my mothers black SUV.

after about two weeks out of the hospital Lydia had stayed home the whole time with only her mother, Allison and Scott visiting her and an absurd amount of flowers and 'get well soon' gifts from people she did not even know they knew she existed. it did not even matter that she was missing school because she could have graduated a while ago if she really wanted to. Lydia healed rather quickly, even though she is not a werewolf she is still a supernatural being.

Lydia would be lying if she didn't feel like something was missing.

Lydia and Allison were currently in Lydia's home gym training, Lydia was going a little to hard for her own good still being a little weak from the weight loss and Allison was starting to notice. "Lydia maybe we should take a break" she speaks up, but gets ignored.

Lydia is punching the punching bag non stop almost as if she was in a trance pounding on it and kicking with such force Allison thought it was about to fly off the stand at any moment. "LYDIA" Allison yelled finally breaking the girl from her mental spell.

startled and exhausted Lydia stumbles back before falling onto her knees and hands, panting wildly. Allison rushes to her side pulling the girl close to her while whispering 'you're okay, you're okay, everything is gonna be okay" over and over while stroking her head until after a few minutes Lydia's breathing finally calms down. Allison gets up and grabs Lydia's water bottle before making her take a couple drinks to help soothe her even more.

"I don't know what is wrong with me" Lydia states obviously upset.

"nothing is wrong with you Lydia, you went through something very traumatic of course you are not going to be completely one hundred percent and that is perfectly fine" Allison pauses helping her friend up while rubbing her back softly. "i got your back no matter what"

"lets take a break" Allison states again and this time Lydia agrees.

the girls make their way up to Lydia's bedroom, taking turns showering and changing into comfortable clothes and settling into Lydia's huge bed. Allison's phone starts ringing with Scotts contact lighting up the screen. Allison looks up to Lydia almost as if she was asking permission to answer and Lydia, who is feeling a lot less overwhelmed, just giggled and nodded before lying herself down on her soft pillows.

"hey babe, whatsup?" Allison says as she answers her cellphone.

Lydia could not hear what was being said on the other end only what Allison was saying on their end. "let me ask Lydia" Allison states before turning and looking at the girl.

"would you mind if Scott joins" Allison inquires giving puppy dog eyes to her bestfriend. this of course makes Lydia laugh some more before looking at her bestfriend and giving her the 'duhhhh' look, which in turn made her bestfriend smile like a kid in a candy store. Lydia does not mind third wheeling especially when it comes to Scott who has been a really good friend towards her and she knows she can trust him, it also helps that he treats her bestfriend like the queen she is.

"okay but we are gonna order food and you have to pick it up for us before you come over, deal?" Allison asks her boyfriend even though its not really an actual question before saying their goodbyes and hanging up.

after ordering their food and texting Scott where to pick it up they wait about thirty minutes until they finally heard the doorbell ring. Lydia's mother had to go back to work so it was up to them to answer the door. luckily they knew it was Scott thanks to the knew gate Lydia's mom had installed at the front of the drive connecting all the way around the house to the back yard gate that requires a personal code for everyone so they know who comes and goes along with a brand new security system.

what the girls were not prepared for when they answered the door was a shy looking Stiles standing behind Scott helping him carry all food. "hope it is okay i brought this one with me" Scott chuckles nervously.
