Present Day
He was only supposed to be in there for a couple days. It's been three years.
Three years.
And his parents hardly visited. Maybe once a month. It wasn't enough. He spent his birthday's alone in a cubical that was barely big enough for him to fit in.
He grew up and went through everything that his parents should have helped him with...alone.
And now here he was waiting for the familiar red car to pull up. He was sitting in the waiting room, still in the damn blue jumpsuit and stupid socks. The odd part was the fact that he became friends with the man who looked utterly bored when he came in here.
His name was Lucas. And he never was actually bored, that was just his face.
They talked about anything and it was nice to have someone to lean on.
Lucas was rambling on about apricots being one of the best fruits when the sliding doors opened.
In stepped a woman and a man. They looked just like they had five months ago when they visited. Though this time, they smiled widely when they saw Louis.
"Lou..." Jayy ran towards her son hugging him tightly. Louis didn't hug back though. He felt as if she didn't deserve it. Not after abandoning him in this nuthouse for three years. Where people thought you could be cured with drugs and therapy. And let's just say it didn't work.
She pulled away, tears in her eyes.
"Your sisters have missed you so much boo." she says and Louis nods.
His dad was standing back staring at Louis with a stern expression. Jayy turned to Lucas who greeted him with his very bored looking face.
"How is he?" she asks. Of course. They only care about his delusional state. He has faked his way through this entire stay, answering with what the therapists wanted to hear and taking whatever drugs they gave him without one single complaint.
"Great. Think he's all good now." Lucas says looking at his thumbnail. Jayy nodded and thanked him. She filled out some paperwork and Louis said his last goodbye to Lucas.
The trio left without a second to spare.
They were buckled into the car and on the freeway within a couple minutes. The car was silent except for Stevie Wonder playing softly in the background. Jayy eventually spoke up.
"How are you sweetie?" she asks and Louis shrugs at the back of her head. He knew she couldn't see. But he wasn't in the mood to talk. He wanted to go home and get out of this stupid jumpsuit. But then again, none of his clothes would probably fit him.
"Honey...talk to us." she pleads and Louis sighs.
"I'm fine mum." he replies. Jayy nods. Louis looks out the window staring at the dry trees. It was the end of summer after all. Jayy looked at him through the rearview mirror.
The teenage lad turned to the spot next to him and smiled. And Jayy knew he wasn't alright.

Louis was basically tackled when he walked into the house. The twins, Daisy and Phoebe smothered him with hugs and kisses. They were the smallest of the bunch. Fizzy hugged him right after and Lottie gave him a quick hug.
She's turning into a teenager, Louis thinks to himself as he smiled at them.
"They didn't really miss you, you know." Louis froze for half a second glancing next to him. Jace stood by the stairs, smirking at him. Louis went back to talking to his sisters about what they've been up to for the past three years.
"Wanna watch a movie?" Daisy asks and Louis nods before excusing himself to his room. He locked the door and turned around. Everything was just as he left it. The bed was undone and his clothes was still littered across the floor. The walls were the same blue color that he chose to paint them when he was ten. He looked at the bed, noticing Jace sitting there.
"How's it feel to be back home?" he asks and Louis shrugs. He didn't want to talk to him. He never wanted to talk to him these days. He went to his drawer and grabbed one of his baggy shirts and some sweatpants.
He needed to get out of this damn uniform. He changed quickly before opening his bedroom door and heading downstairs. Jace followed him without a word.
His family was gathered around the television arguing about what movie to watch. The twins wanted to watch Frozen, Fizzy and Lottie wanted to watch 50 Firsts Dates and the parents were just standing back letting them decide.
“I wanna watch Frozen." Louis chimes and sits on one of the couches. Daisy and Phoebe squealed in excitement and put the movie in.
The twins sat on each side of Louis. Fizzy and Lottie sat on the small couch next to them and Jayy and Daniel sat on the loveseat.
Jace sat in front of Louis on the floor.
“You know...you're old things are still in the bathroom. Your mum never found them."
Louis stiffened in his seat. He didn't want to believe it.
His parents should've found them shouldn't they? The movie barely started and Louis was fidgeting in his seat, anxious to go into the bathroom.
When Ana and Elsa's parents took Ana to the trolls he excused himself.
“I need to go to the loo." He mutters standing from the couch and almost running to the bathroom.
He locked the door behind him and went straight the the cupboard under the sink.
He rummaged through the different shampoos and lotions reaching all the way to the back before pulling out a small plastic bag.
His heart was racing. He couldn't believe it. They didn't find them.
Jace was sitting on the sink. He looked at Louis with a smirk. His hazel eyes were shining with a sickening glint.
“I told you they didn't find them. I think it'll be a good idea to use them again don't you think? I know you want to."
Louis shook his head, but his hands already started opening the bag.
“Do it."
And here he was, just like three years ago, with a blade to his thighs.
