Mood: HOME BY MOTHERFUCKING ONE DIRECTION
Louis gasped but kissed back, feverishly. His hands made their way to his hair, tugging at it softly.
There was a cough and Harry pulled away quickly, blushing at the sight of Niall staring at them.
"If ya wanted to stay home and do that you could've just cancelled." Louis spluttered and moved away from Harry, hugging himself.
"Sorry Niall." He mumbles, walking ahead of the two boys. Harry frowned, following after him.
"Are you okay?" Harry asks, wrapping a firm arm around Louis' shoulders.
"I've never--that was embarrassing." Louis chuckles keeping his arms around his torso.
Niall jogs to catch up, stepping inside the theater. Liam was standing by the door, scrolling through his phone.
"Li, hey, guess what I found them doing in the parking lot." Liam looked up as Niall spoke.
"What?"
"Anal." Liam chokes on his spit. Harry's eyes widen.
"He's lying! We were just--"
"I don't want to know." Liam says, a small smile creeping on his lips.
"What movie are we watching?" Louis pipes up.
"The Martian. It's a good movie. Unless you want to watch something else?" Niall asks.
"No! I'm fine. I haven't been in a movie theatre for three years. I'll take what I can get." The small boy smiles. Niall grins, buys the tickets and they're off.
The movie starts in twenty minutes so they make their to the snack bar. Harry grabs a medium bucket of popcorn and a large soda. Louis shakes his head when he's offered something to buy.
Harry frowns and buys him a small nachos even with his refusal. The two boys carry their snacks into the theatre and take a seat in the back. Liam and Niall sat next to each other, chatting up a storm. Harry sat next to them and Louis sat next to Harry.
The taller boy handed him his nachos. Louis stared at the plate and gulped. He couldn't eat this.
"Eat that and you'll gain so much weight. It's not like you're already getting fat or anything." Louis shook his head, keeping the box of chips on his lap. Harry frowned, watching as Louis kept his hands around his stomach.
"You should eat something." Harry whispered as the previews came on. The theatre was full of other people.
"Not hungry." Harry sighed.
"You know I don't believe you right?" Harry mumbled under his breath. Louis stayed silent.
"When will you understand, you fucking idiot? Don't listen to him. He wants to ruin what you're working so hard to achieve. You want to be skinny and this is the only way to do this."
Of course Louis listened to him.
"Stop ruining this for me." He mumbles.
"Ruining what?" Harry asks.
"My happiness." Louis states, putting the chips on the empty seat next to him.
"You call this happiness? Louis, this isn't good, you're hurting yourself. I don't want you to hurt yourself in any possible way, can't you see that?"
"Can't you see that I will never understand your perspective? I can't love myself the way you do. Why don't you just drop it?"
"Because I can't bear to watch you as you slowly kill yourself because...I think I'm in love with you." Harry says softly, the previews ending. Louis gasped but didn't answer. He loved him?
How? How can someone love him? He couldn't even love himself.
The movie started, Louis still hasn't said anything. Harry's face falls and he turns away, choosing to hide his his tears. He just got rejected.
He tried to pay attention to the movie, he really does, but Louis was inches away from him and he almost, almost, leaned over and kissed him. He hated how he felt. He had absolute no control when he was around Louis.
That boy did things to him. By him just sitting there made him go mad.
About twenty minutes into the movie Harry caught a glance of the small boy grabbing a chip and nibbling into it. Harry let out a sigh of relief.
The movie went on, Louis stayed farther apart from Harry than he would like him to be. The armrest separated them. Harry rested him arm on it.
Fifteen minutes later, Harry was giving up on him. He wanted him so bad. He wanted to hug him and hold him and care for him.
Suddenly, he felt warmth on his hand.
Harry gasped, turning to Louis to find their hands intertwined. Harry closed his hand, making sure to not let go. He'll never let go.
His shoulders relaxed, and suddenly the warmth was gone. Harry's eyes widen momentarily until Louis pushes up the armrest, tucking himself into Harry's side. The taller boy wraps and arm around him.
They sit like that, in silence, trying to understand what was happening in the movie. When Harry thought he couldn't be any more surprised Louis reached over, grabbing a handful of popcorn. Hesitantly, he ate it. Harry could cry.
He watched as Louis ate slowly, ecstatic that he was doing the right thing. The small boy looked up, tears shining in his eyes.
"Hey, what's wrong, love?"
"I'm sorry. I'm always so mean to you and I don't want to be. I just--I think I love you too." He whispers, "I'm so lost."
Harry smiled softly.
"When you're lost I'll find a way and be your light. Okay?" Louis nodded, shuffling in his seat. The movie dragged on but the boys weren't paying attention.
Louis was listening to Harry's heartbeat on his chest and at that moment Harry made a silent promise to himself.
He knew then that he would never let Louis feel alone. He'd make this--whatever they have--feel like home.
