"Let's go!" I yelled as I blared the horn in front of Derek's trailer. He exited the trailer looking very much angry.

"Why did you come here so early?" Derek said as he entered my car. "It's only 5:30." I said as if we're no big deal.

"You were already awake. Why the hell wait?"

"You need to get laid." Derek said exhaustively. "There's something I want to show you. You're gonna love it."

"And it requires getting up this damn early?"

"Well yeah, it beats the morning traffic."

"Surprise!" I said knowing that my brother loves ferry boats.

"We're riding a ferry?" He said trying to keep his cool, but I knew that he was internally happy about it.

"Hell yeah we are. And the ferry's stop is like 30 minutes away from the hospital. Not to mention, I brought food!" I said while pulling out some breakfast sandwiches.

"You're on your way to becoming my favorite sibling." Derek said.

"On my way. On my way! I should already be up there! Who's your favorite? Huh? Who?"

"That is confidential information."

"Oh come on! Is it Nancy? Because if it is then you're probably insane."

"I'm not telling you!"

"Alrighty then, let's get this day started!" I said as I entered the peds floor.

"Hey! Dr. Shepherd! There was a surgeon here. She was trying to, I don't know analyze a baby in the nursery, but she's not on the peds service." Dina rambled on.

"Which baby?" I asked.

Dina lead me to the nursery and there was the fussy baby that had a heart murmur.

"Hey, little man. Why are you fussing, huh? Did the doctor that came in here tell you why they were checking the baby?" I said to Dina as I listened to the baby's heartbeat.

"She said that he turned blue."

"And you didn't bother figuring out why that happened or to ask for a second opinion?" I asked Dina.

"No, the murmur goes away with age."

"You sound so sure about that, did you manage to get their name?"

"No, but she was carrying around a cooler."

"Alright, keep an extra eye on him and set up a chest x-ray and an EKG."

"Right away, Dr. Shepherd."

"So this is the warrior?" I said as I entered the room that Derek was watching a patient in.

"Yeah, her name is Allison."

"Damn. You know as much as our sisters annoy the living hell out of me, I'll have to go to jail if something like this happened to any of them. Including Nancy."

"Yeah, but the guy that did this is going to need medical attention, fingers crossed that he comes here." Derek said.

"Hopefully not, I don't want to be in the same building as a guy that's willing to do this, but if he does come then I'll personally deliver him to the gates of hell."
