Y/n Shepard is a top-notch pediatric surgeon and hematologist at Seattle Grace. So, when his older brother is called down to Seattle Grace by Dr. Webber. As always, Derek's life start to mess with his, and Y/n finds himself making new friends, tackl...
"Excellent board. Well-timed, balanced, efficient. If all goes well, we'll have an early night." Dr. Webber said.
"Chief, Dead Baby Bike Race started 20 minutes ago." Dr. Bailey said with her interns following her every move. 'Early night my ass.'
"Alright people, Dead Baby Bike Race Day!" Chief Webber made the announcement ordering people around.
"Y/N, I need you in the lab monitoring all blood samples coming through. And doing the ordering for all blood types. Lab all day Y/N!" He said to me.
"Sir yes sir!" I said excitedly.

Immediately after entering my lab, I was hit with a tidal wave of blood vials that needed analysis. 'Let's do this!'
I started placing the labeled vials of blood into the centrifuge devices. Marking down the results in all of the patients files. Whilst new vials keep coming in.
I had some music playing which helped me work faster.
"Dr. Shepherd?" A blonde surgical intern entered my lab.
"Yeah, what can I help you with?" I said as I turned down the music.
"I need more O-neg for a patient of mine. Actually like a lot, since we're planning on doing a blood transfusion." She said.
"Yeah, what's the patient name?" I said pulling out my tablet, viewing the blood bank storage.
"Umm, John Doe?" She replied cutely.
"You want to give a blood transfusion to a John Doe? And no one's tried to stop you yet?"
"Well, I may have been advised against it, but could you please help me out?"
"O-neg, you say?"
"Yes! Thank you thank you thank you!" She said excitedly.
"Okay I can give you about three units, just to keep a low profile. But if anyone asks—"
"You had nothing to do with it." She said finishing my sentence.
"Exactly." I then walked into a back room taking three pints of O-neg out of the blood bank refrigerator.
"Anyways, it was nice talking to you, Dr.—"
"Stevens. Izzie Stevens." She said introducing herself.
"And I've been Y/N Shepherd." I said turning the music back up and getting back to work.

"I need help." Meredith said entering my lab.
"What do you need, Sunshine." I said to her.
"I need to get Burke to do a surgery on a John Doe, but I don't know how to get him to do it." Meredith prompted.
"Well between me, you, and a select few of others, Burke has a soft spot for the Chief."
"Wait really?" She asked in disbelief.
"Yeah, he's always trying to get on Webber's good graces. All because he wants to be the next chief when the time comes."
"You are just walking gossip!" She exclaimed.
"Now, why didn't you go to my brother about this? He would've told you the exact same thing."
"Your brother is an ass, that's why." She giggled out.
"Wait, so it's only been like what a day or so, and you're already saying that I'm the Better Brother."
"I didn't say that, I just don't like him at the moment."
"Whatever helps you sleep at night, Sunshine."
"What's up with this Sunshine nonsense?" She asked taken back by the new nickname.
"I'm just trying something new." I shrugged off. "What did Derek do to be shunned?"
"You're blowing this way out of proportion. What if I just wanted to talk to you?"
"You're openly admitting that?" I asked feigning shock. "Are you sure I'm not the Better Brother?"
"Just because you made a sign, doesn't mean that it's true."
"Whatever, you didn't answer the question though." I noticed.
"He keeps asking me to go out with him." She admitted.
"Why is that a bad thing?"
"I feel like he's only doing it because he likes to chase me."
"What do you mean by that?"
"Like I keep saying no, and he keeps trying, so it has to be the chase, right?" She explained.
"Or he must really like you. Do you really like him?" I asked.
She was silent for a bit. Seemingly really thinking it over. "I'll get back to you on that." She said getting ready to leave.
"Alright, I'll see you later, Sunshine."
"See you soon, Daydream."

The word count is literally 700! This episode seemed so short. Which made it pretty hard to include the reader insert. Though, I'm pretty proud of it. Because this episode seemed so short, I'm most likely gonna do another chapter today.
Me seeing this short ass episode:
