It was the next day, and Karlie was stuck in a tricky predicament. She was currently sitting with three girls, who stared her down with curiosity. They looked beautiful, and Karlie didn't know what to say to any of them.
'This is really hard! Why am I having trouble starting a conversation!?' Karlie glanced over to Emily table.
She looked totally relaxed, even leaning back against her chair. Her hands were waving everywhere when she talked, as she made the girls giggle.
'Even Emily got this in the bag! Okay just calm down Karlie. It's just talking to girls...that are rich and probably mean. WHY DO I EVEN THINK LIKE THIS AHHHH!!!' One of the girls started speaking.
"So Karl...do you have any hobbies? What do you like to do?"
"Oh umm....well...ummm..."
"I'm curious, what products do you use on your skin?"
"Yes! It's so pretty!" Karlie smiled, through her doubts.Karlie tried to slip in a Thank You but couldn't since all three girls asked an important question. "So why did you join the Host Club!?"
"Well umm..."
'All I need to do is get 100 guests, and I've done my part of the deal...I can do this....I just need something-OH I GOT IT!!!' Karlie then started talking.
Instead of answering the questions, she went on with the story about her and Emily coming here together. After all, their parents "decided" to let them live their lives, so that they could have a bright future.
She talked about how she also wanted to help both of their families, and she worked hard and will continue to do so.
It was a bit of a lie, but it worked out in the end. All of the girls started to tear up. They all felt Karlie's dedication, and shared sympathetic looks.
"So you two live together? Where?"
"In a small apartment complex. To be frank, it's really fine. Ethan and I just live our lives the best way that we can." Karlie sweetly smiled, making the girls lean in closer.
"Who does the chores around the house?"
"We both share, but I mostly do them. My mom was the ones who taught me. I love her so much, and everyday I miss her." Karlie glanced at the ground while rubbing her neck.
"But I'll see her soon. I just have to work hard here. Like I said, one of the reasons why I applied for Ouran, is to help out our families as much as I can! They've helped me out all throughout my childhood, and now I want to give them a better life. To make them happy!" Karlie smiled and grew even more, as the girls blushed.
'Mom...I'm very grateful...' She thought about her own life back home, feeling a bit overwhelmed.
If it wasn't for her, then she would've still been stuck with her dad and step mom...
Karlie mentality shut the thought down immediately, focusing back on her guest. She could softly hear the girls mumbles about how much of a teddy bear she was, which she snorted in her head.
"So umm...is i-it okay if t-tomorrow...w-we request to s-s-sit with you again?" They all stuttered out together, with heart filled eyes.
"Of course! Anything for you beautiful ladies! I really appreciate you guys talking to me. It's been kinda hard being the new kid haha!" They girls squealed loudly, making Karlie blush with appreciation.
Just as Karlie continued the conversation, Tamaki, Hikaru, Kaoru, and Emily all watched her success. Since Emily finished with her guest, she made her way over to the guys, curious about what they were watching.
