Karlie yawned, as she carried a brown paper bag filled with instant coffee.

"Dude, you're tired already? We still have Club to do." Emilly commented, as she also held onto her own bag. They were making their way back to school, ready for the other school guests, and what costumes they were going to wear for today for the special occasion.

Then suddenly, Karlie felt a chilling feeling creep up her spine. She stopped walking, her head looking around. No one was there, which didn't sit right with the girl. Emily turned her head, confused about her friend's sudden behavior.

"You good?"

"Y-Yeah...sorry but I just got this weird feeling. Sorry, let's go." Emily watched the girl, knowing something was up.

"What weird feeling?"

"You know...like someone's watching us." She hummed, glancing around to try to find the mysterious stalker.

"Maybe it's just the other students from the other school. Maybe they have a sudden crush on you. It's happened to the best of us." Karlie smiled, hugging the bag closer on her chest.

"Yeah but...this feels different. Like they're actually behind me, just staring through my soul. I don't know what to make of it."

Then Emily remembered something. "Not to scare you or anything, but maybe it's Nico watching over us." Karlie slowly nodded.

"Y-Yeah...Nico...all that happened this morning was so weird. I mean why show up now of all times..." She sighed deeply, trying to calm her nerves. "I just have so many questions."

"Hey, It's okay." Emily reached for her friend, bringing her into a side hug.

"If anything happens, we'll kick his ass. And don't forget that bitch Melissa too!" Karlie laughed, feeling a little bit better.

"Why is it that you're always comforting me during this time, and I'm always the one that seems like a huge baby?" Karlie asked, as Emily smirked.

"Cause like you said, I know how to handle everything that gets thrown at me! I'm afraid of nothing, and you're the delicate princess that always needs saving! Hahaha!" Karlie smacked her friend in annoyance.

"But in all seriousness...no one is going to mess this up for us. I do have to say that Nico had something about him that made me feel cautious. That's why I'm going to train you on how to defend yourself."

"I know I know. I agreed when we came back from the beach trip that I would start taking boxing lessons from you and the twins. Wait, do the twins even know how to box anyways?" Emily shrugged her shoulders, as she smirked once more.

"Who knows? Either way, I get the pleasure of kicking their asses if they don't know."

"Yeah, I know you'll have a blast with that!" In the back of Karlie's mind, she wondered if Nico and Melissa could hear everything that they were saying.

"Okay so good thing we have the training regiment down. Now we just need to figure out Nico and what he's all about, and win the battle!"

"huh? What do you mean?"
"...I hate to say it, but I can't figure out why."

"I see...well just like you said, whatever happened, we do it-" Then suddenly Karlie felt her whole body move back.

Everything felt like it was moving in slow motion, as Emily watched her friend slip on a neatly placed banana peel. She was about to drop everything and catch her friend when suddenly someone showed up and caught Karlie like a fallen princess. Emily stood there stunned, as Karlie took a single breath in due from shock.
