The bell tinkled somewhere in the cafe, and yet the person who was standing in the bakery beside the cafe, worked carefully with the dough, hands kneading the softness and feeling the edges, as he gave them the right shape,

His face had signs of flour, and the tip of his nose was spotted a jelly-red,

He pressed his fists against the mix, trying to flatten it as he carved out the heart shapes using the cookie cutter and put them carefully on the pan dressed in parchment,

Whipping up the cream with one hand, as he held the bowl against his apron that covered his front and was a mess of fruity and sugary scenting patches,

He whipped up the cream, picking up the bottle that stood at the counter side, a tiny pink glass container, that he turned upside down,

The white of the cream slowly dissolved giving various shades of pink and the smell of strawberries wafted through the air,

Strawberry puree it was.

Checking the ding as the over made a sound, he picked up the tray of unbaked heart-shaped cookies, put it carefully inside, and setting the timer,

The sun shone over his figure, illuminating the otherwise blue-marbled counter,

The sparkles and the tiny little specks of micro-particles that shone in the wave of light,

It made him smile, as he continued to layer the strawberry ganache, carefully over the base of the cake that stood on the cake stand,

Layering the layers, one by one until they were a huge three-tier, he turned around,

The cookies were done, and all that was left was the decoration of the cake,

He took out the tray and set them aside for cooling as his feet treaded the short distance of going towards the stove, which held a pan of melted chocolate resting over a casserole of boiling water,

He picked it up, with the wooden ladle, and carefully working through the mix with the spatula, he poured it into a piping cream bag,

Cutting off the tip, he worked on filling the tiny circle-like spaces in the cookies, ending it all with moon-shaped sparkles, which were  of varying colors,
