"So what is it, Taehyun?" Yeonjun asked the red haired faerie who sat across from him and Beomgyu. He had his legs crossed while Beomgyu had his arms crossed, not really appreciating the 'intrusion' of Taehyun. Taehyun shuffled uncomfortably in his seat, a red flush appearing on his neck.
"I've lost control of my magic and I'm supposed to be training the new fire faeries for the warrior trials." The fire faerie lowered his head, embarrassment coating his light complexion. Yeonjun frowned at this because Taehyun was one of the greatest fire faeries he's ever met. Plus he was a warrior at that. Fire was a bit difficult to control which is why there's the stereotype that only the strongest are selected to hold fire.
The warrior trials is for the newly selected faeries to be chosen as a fighter for the faerie civilisation. Taehyun, this year, has been elected to train the new fire faeries but now with his loss of control with his magic, the role may fall on someone else.
"Do you think you could help?" Taehyun mumbled quietly, unsure if the silence around them was a good or bad thing.
"I don't know if I can..." Yeonjun answered truthfully and Taehyun slumped further into his seat. "...But I can try." Yeonjun and Taehyun's eyes met, shades of the soft moon and scarlet fire. A grateful smile graced Taehyun before he jumped over the table into Yeonjun's arms. The two gave each other a secure hug while Beomgyu complained angrily at the clutter of the mess.
The next day, the three faeries travelled a bit further into the enchanted forest, early in the morning, careful to not catch any unwanted attention or danger towards themselves. Fire was a dangerous element to be playing with. You wouldn't be hurting yourself but others around you, including nature.
"So...how do we want to do this?" Beomgyu sat himself on a log, there for supervision and to intervene if anything went in the wrong direction. Glaring at Taehyun for getting himself and Yeonjun involved. The two never had gotten along. Yeonjun being the barrier between the two. There's no particular reason why they never got along but they've always been competitive and throwing insults at each other.
"I think we'll just start with Tae making a small flame. Is that alright?" The sweet moon faerie turned to the male across the meadow from him. Taehyun nodded that it was alright, starting to set his posture. His legs parted to match the length of his shoulders before lifting his hands palms facing the sky. He took a deep breath, closing his eyes to collect the energy breezing around him. Then there was the crackle of a flame. Two small flames floated amidst Taehyun's palms. His eyes were now opened. A bright glow of red.
Taehyun muttered, palms shut and inferno died out, "This is as much as I can do without losing control." Yeonjun hummed as he thought about what they could do next. An idea popped into his pretty head.
"Okay...Let's try this next."

The sun was now high in the sky. Soobin had been taking a time-kill walk after his hunt. Soobin sat at the edge of the small stream of water at what seemed to be a different part of the woods he had been in earlier. The demon was washing off the stains of blood on him. The blood eventually smelled rotten and revolting for Soobin. Unable to stand the stench on him he found a body of water and washed himself.
He took scoops of water in his large palms, pouring cooling water over red splotches on his skin and clothing. Rubbing water into small circular motions around his neck, face and forearms. His shirt seemed to be stubborn. No matter how much scrubbing Soobin had done, reddened pink remained on the shirt he wore on his irritated skin.
The demon stood up, done with his attempts to cleanse himself. He sighed, rolling his sleeves down and dusting dirt off his knee pads. He thought about what he should do next with his free days. Maybe look for a job or find some places of entertainment. But maybe it was because of the new change of environment that Soobin seemed to have lost some energy or had any frustrations at all.
Before he could leave the area his alpha had sensed another being from seven hundred metres away. He could hear its footsteps running almost as if they were in a rush. Soobin didn't know if he should leave now (though nothing was really a threat to him) or remain still. He did the latter. He waited until he saw what was charging at him. His heart throbbed at the sight of pink.
