The tense is up on the obelisk duel field. It's the middle of a duel between third year Jaden Yuki and third year Syrus Truesdale. Jaden has 300 life points and Syrus has 50. The bleachers are blazing in cheer. On the right side sit Alexis Rhodes and Atticus Rhodes. They are supporting Jaden's side. The left side consists of Chazz and Hassleberry. It was Jaden's turn. Syrus has one face down card and that's all. Jaden has two cards in his hand, a card facedown and Elemental Hero Terra Firma on his field. (Atk: 2500) "Okay Syrus!" Jaden smiles as he puts his right hand on his deck. "This is it!" Jaden picks up one card and whooshes it across his face.
The crowds cheer lowers and it's silent. "Hero Terra Firma, Attack Syrus directly!" Jaden thrusts up his hand. "Ah man." Syrus says. Syrus' life point meter drops to zero as the holograms fade. "That's game Syrus!" Jaden smiles wide. "It's a shame you're the only Slifer Red left Jaden." Syrus says. "Not really, means I get all the food." Jaden laughs. "Lots of the Slifers dropped out after two years." Chazz comes up behind Jaden. "Good duel though guys." Alexis comes beside Jaden. "Sorry, you can't leave Duel Academy yet Syrus. Just because you're an obelisk doesn't mean I'll let you go pro so easy." Jaden says. "Well Jaden soon we won't have a choice." Atticus leans on the duel field. "That's right Sargent." Hassleberry comes up beside Syrus.
"Once you guys leave I'll leave Duel Academy too." Jaden says. "Well we only got a few weeks here left." Chazz says. "Yeah." Alexis sighs. "Then I'll begin packing my bags." Jaden walks passed everyone and exits the arena. The rest of the spectators are quiet as Jaden leaves. "Poor guy." Syrus says.
A shadow figure of Yubel appears next to Jaden when he enters the Slifer dorm. "21 days I'm assuming." Yubel says. "Yep." Jaden replies. Jaden picks up a big black back then begins putting picture frames and cards in it. "21 days left. I don't know what to do when my pals leave." Jaden says. Jaden picks out his red cell phone from his pocket. "Only way would be cellular." Jaden throws his phone into the bag. He unstraps the red striped duel disk off his left arm and sets it next to his bag on the floor. "You could admit you have feelings for Alexis." Yubel says. Jaden smirks. "What are you talking about?"
"You know." Yubel replies.
"I don't."
"The look you two exchange."
"We chat and focus on what each other say."
"You do Jaden, and you'll realize it, if not now, then soon." Yubel's spirit begins to fade.
"Is Yubel right?" Jaden looks out his dorm room window. He watches the waves of the ocean rock back and forth. "Do I have unknown feelings?"
