Chapter Twelve: Volume One- END

DUEL POV

Jaden: (4200 LP)

Jesse: (4000 LP)

Zorc: (8000 LP)

Jesse: Huh?! Obelisk wasn't destroyed!

Zorc: Egyptian Gods don't fall that easy, foolish child.

Jaden: I activate my face down! Elemental Mirage! It brings back Elemental HERO Neos and Clayman because they were destroyed due to a card effect! (Atk: 2500) (Atk: 800)

Zorc: Obelisk lives. (Atk: 4000)

Jesse: Ah man. Jaden and Zorc have no face downs. I set one facedown Zorc!

Jaden: Jesse, you have no monsters to protect you!

Jesse: Don't you worry. You need to worry about you winning and saving Alexis and keeping those Sacred Beasts safe.

Jaden: Zorc, you say you were destroyed years ago by some Pharaoh, (Referencing Yugioh Season 5) But how did you come back and how did you acquire those  Egyptian God monsters?! Answer!

Zorc: Simple. When your friend Yubel tried to fuse all the dimensions together there was a piece of my darkness that slipped into your world causing me to feed off you humans and regain my strength.

Jesse: What about them God Cards?

Zorc: I merely stole them from the King of Games.

Jaden: Do you mean Yugi Moto? The legendary duelist?

Zorc: Correct Jaden.

Jaden: Why do you need the Egyptian Gods and the Sacred Beasts?

Zorc: The Sacred Beasts resemble the Egyptian Gods but with their energy I can reform this world with me as King! The Gods were just to get passed you and Yubel.

Jesse: What does he mean Jay?

Jaden: Jesse, In the other dimension I fused my soul with Yubel.

Jesse: Why would you do that?

Jaden: So Yubel wouldn't feel lonely any more.

Zorc: Enough talk, Lets duel.

Jaden: You asked for it Zorc! (draw) Alright lets roll with Polymerization! I fuse Clayman, Neos and Elemental Hero Shadow Mist in my hand to fusion summon Elemental Hero Core! (Atk: 2700)

Zorc: A waste of a monster. It will only fall to its knees by Obelisk the Tormentor.

Jaden: That would be the case, but it isn't now!

Zorc: Impossible!

Jaden: Nope, see for yourself! I activate the spell Faithful Hero! By giving up 800 lifepoints I can cancel out Obelisks special abilities this turn and reduce his attack strength to zero! (3400 LP)

Zorc: No! (Atk: 0)

Jaden: Go on in Hero Core!

Zorc: Gah!! (5300 LP)

Jaden: I throw a facedown.

Jesse: Good work Jay.

Jaden: Thanks.

Zorc: I will finish this now. (draw) I activate the Ceremony of the Dead spell card! It revives one monster from each of our graveyards to my field. I summon Amber Mammoth! (Atk: 1700) Elemental Hero Avian! (Atk: 1000) and Obelisk the Tormentor! (Atk: 4000)

Jaden: So what.

Zorc: I will sacrifice all three monsters to summon The Winged Dragon of Ra! (Atk: ?)

Jesse: Ra.

Jaden: I have faced off against Ra before.

Zorc: Then you know I reduce my lifepoints to 1 and Ra gains the difference as attack points! (Atk: 5299) (1 LP)

Jaden: Your a fool to do that. One magic card and your finished.

Zorc: Oh, I don't think so.

Jaden: Huh?! Why not!

Zorc: I will have Ra negate those pitiful spell and trap effects.

Jesse: Ah man.

Jaden: That's right.

Zorc: Attack Jesse directly!

Jaden: Jesse!

Jesse: Jaden, Gah! (0 LP)

NORMAL POV

Jesse flies back from the attack defeated from the duel. "Jesse!" Jaden yells. Jesse smirks as he lays in pain. "Go get him Jay, my facedown." Jesse whispers. "That's right, Jesse left me a parting gift." Jaden says.

DUEL POV

Jaden: (draw) I am gonna finish this right now Zorc.

Zorc: Go ahead and try.

Jaden: I activate Jesse's spell card Gift  of the Beasts! This turn I can summon any monster without tribute.

Zorc: Bring it Jaden Yuki.

Jaden: It's brought, Come out Yubel! (Atk: 0)

Zorc: No, Yubel!

Jaden: And Winged Dragon of Ra will only negate my spells and traps, not Yubel's effect.

Zorc: No!

Jaden: Yubel attack Ra! Now Yubel's effect deals you all damage I would have taken and Yubel isn't destroyed!

Zorc: Aghhhh! (0 LP)

NORMAL POV

Jaden turns off his duel disk and whispers "Thanks Yubel."

"No problem Jaden." Yubel says.

Jaden walks up to Alexis. "Give it up Zorc." Jaden says. "I was defeated again. This cant..." Zorc's voice fades as Alexis' body drops to the ground unconscious. Jaden catches her in his arms. The three Egyptian God cards appear in Jaden's hands. Jesse comes up next to Jaden. "Good work pal. But what will we do with these God Monsters?" Jesse asks.

"I have to return them to Yugi." Jaden replies. "You wont have time to. Tomorrow continues the Duel Tournament. " Jesse says. "How did you-"

"I was told about it by Crowler." Jesse interrupts. "Figures, he has a big mouth." Jaden laughs. "I will deliver them back to Yugi in Domino City by the time its ready for me and Alexis in the Semi Finals." Jaden says. "Semi Finals begin next week. You got three days Jaden. The next day is it for preliminary duels and then the next two days are a break before Semi Finals." Jesse says. "Then I'll leave tonight." Jaden says.

Alexis opens her eyes to see Jaden holding her. "Jaden." Alexis whispers. "She's awake!" Jesse says. "Yeah Lex?" Jaden replies. Alexis puts her hand on Jaden's face and leans in to kiss him. The spark of romance fills the forest. And to be upfront I think Jesse almost gagged.

Jaden told Alexis everything that happened since she was possessed and what he is gonna do about the Egyptian God cards.

"Ok." Alexis says. Alexis kisses Jaden again and then says. "You better make it back." Alexis says. "He will because I'm going with him." Jesse says. Alexis got ready to head back to her dorm. "We will be back for the Semi Finals Lex." Jaden says as he walks away disappearing into the forest.

"Be careful Jaden." Alexis says.
