Y/n wakes up the next day thinking about the conversation she had with Ned the day before. Y/n can't help but feel guilty about telling Ned her past, she feels like she over shared and that she shouldn't have said anything. Y/n has tried for the past few months after her Dad Adam passed away to forget her past and all of the things she's been through.
"Y/n are you up?" Melinda asks knocking on her bedroom door.
"Yeah come in" Y/n replies sitting up in her bed.
"Hey how are you feeling?" Melinda asks her walking into the bedroom.
"I'm ok, I'm sorry I didn't tell you" Y/n sadly tells her.
"Y/n it's ok I understand" Melinda says smiling.
"Y/n!" Jim calls from downstairs.
"There's someone here to see you!" Jim calls up to Y/n.
"Coming" Y/n calls back walking downstairs.
Y/n walks down the stairs and sees someone she thought she'd never see again her ex boyfriend Cole standing in the entrance way of her new home.
"Cole? What are you doing here? Y/n asks confused.
"I believe you, I'm in trouble" Cole says looking at Y/n apologetic.
"I'm sorry, I need your help" Cole says to Y/n.
"Y/n what's going on?" Jim asks confused and looking at Cole with a confused glare.
"Melinda, Jim this is Cole my ex boyfriend" Y/n says nervously.
Knock..Knock..
"Who could this be now?" Jim asks and opens the front door to show Ned standing there with a smile before seeing Cole and looking confused.
"Hey Ned, what brings you here?" Jim asks with a confused smile.
"I came to see Y/n and make sure she's ok" Ned says smiling at Y/n.
"What's wrong are you ok?" Cole asks Y/n coming closer to her and putting an arm on her shoulder.
"I'm fine Cole don't worry" Y/n says quietly shrugging his arm off of her.
"I really could use your help Y/n I mean it, I'm sorry" Cole says looking at Y/n sadly.
Melinda offers Cole a drink and Y/n follows them into the kitchen.
Ned looks at Jim for an answer to who Cole is.
"Cole is Y/n's ex boyfriend from a few months ago and he needs her help" Jim says smiling awkwardly at Ned.
"Oh he's here, did she say anything about him?" Ned asks nervously and a little jealous.
"No just that he's her ex boyfriend" Jim says.
"Do you know the story of them breaking up?" Ned asks.
"Yeah I hate the guy to say the least, I've been around since Y/n was a kid and when someone hurts her like that I don't like them" Jim says sighing.
"So Cole how long are you staying in town for?" Jim asks Cole.
"Until I win Y/n back" Cole says smirking and glaring at Ned confidently.
"What?" Y/n asks confused.
"I messed up Y/n and I'm sorry" Cole says holding
Y/n's hands.
"I have to go" Y/n says quickly letting go of Coles hands and walking away.
"Bye guys see you later" Y/n says walking out of the door.
Y/n walks down the driveway as Ned runs out of the door to follow her.
"Y/n!" Ned calls after her.
"Oh hey Ned, I'm sorry about Cole" Y/n says sighing.
"He's always been a jealous guy even when he doesn't need to be" Y/n says.
"Oh I'm sorry he came here" Ned says smiling sadly at Y/n.
"Thanks he's only here because he wants something once he gets it then he'll leave" Y/n says sadly.
"He wants you back" Ned says quietly.
"Yeah he says he does but then he'll find a new girl that isn't what he calls a freak" Y/n says sighing.
"Plus he's not going to get me back" Y/n says quietly.
"He seems like a jerk" Ned says laughing.
"Yeah he is now" Y/n says smiling.
"Do you want to go to the cafe?" Ned asks looking at
Y/n nervously.
"Yeah sure, thanks Ned you're a good friend" Y/n says hugging Ned.
"Yeah friend" Ned says quietly sighing sadly.
Ned and Y/n walk to the cafe laughing and talking. Ned can't stop thinking about Y/n and how she hugged him bringing a soft red to his cheeks. When Ned saw Cole looking at Y/n the way he was Ned was upset. When Ned learned that Cole is Y/n's ex boyfriend who broke her heart he just wanted to punch him but Ned's not a violent person and he wouldn't want to upset
Y/n.
