"Here's your room" Melinda says to Y/n.
"Oh Mel it's beautiful, thank you" Y/n says happily hugging Melinda.
"Of course, you can change anything you would like" Melinda says still hugging Y/n.
"I don't want to it's perfect" Y/n says looking up at Melinda with a big smile with tears in her eyes.
"Hey what's wrong?" Melinda asks.
"You didn't hesitate to let me come stay with you, no one's been this generous to me in a really long time"
Y/n says with a sad smile.
"I'm your sister of course I would do this for you, we were all we had at one point and I know you're so used to taking care of everyone else but I'm here now" Melinda says hugging the sobbing Y/n.
"I don't know what to do, I miss him so much and I lost our apartment because I couldn't afford it anymore" Y/n says crying.
"Y/n you have been taking care of Adam since you were 13, you did everything you could and he would be proud of you that you're asking for help now after all these years" Melinda says wiping Y/n tears away.
"Thank you, I don't know what I would've done without you and Jim" Y/n says.
"We're here and always will be" Melinda says.
"It's getting late, are you ok or do you need me to stay?" Melinda asks.
"Thanks but I'm ok, I still need to unpack and I'm getting tired" Y/n says.
"Ok goodnight love you see you tomorrow, are you ready to start work tomorrow?" Melinda asks.
"Yeah I'm ready and goodnight love you too" Y/n says with one last hug with Melinda before Melinda went downstairs.
When Melinda leaves the room Y/n sighs and lays on her new bed feeling lost and confused. Y/n brushes it off and lays down to go to bed. The whole house is asleep.
Y/n lays awake in bed seeing a shadow of a woman in a long night gown on the canopy on her bed coming closer to her repeating the words "Don't listen they're wrong" as the woman is about to show her face...
Y/n wakes up trying to catch her breath with sweat dripping down her forehead. Y/n looks around the room and sees that it's bright outside she looks at her alarm clock and it's 7am.
Y/n gets ready wearing a lavender coloured dress with a white pair of flats. Y/n puts on her locket that she wears all of the time that her father got her for her 13th birthday. As Y/n walks down the stairs she hears mumbling in her ear.
Y/n says quietly to the ghost trying to get her attention, "please stop there's people here and I don't want them to think I'm crazy".
"Y/n who are you talking to?" Melinda asks looking at her from the bottom of the stairs.
"No one just thought I heard something" Y/n says fully walking down the stairs.
"Oh alright, breakfast is ready" Melinda says.
"Ok thank you Mel" Y/n say walking into the kitchen.
"Hey Buddy, excited for school?" Y/n asks Aiden who's eating his breakfast.
"Yeah, I have some friends there that I like to play with" Aiden says.
"That's fun, it's good you have friends to play with"
Y/n smiles ruffling his hair.
"Hey Sunshine ready for your first day?" Jim asks
Y/n walking into the kitchen with his scrubs on.
"Yeah ready as I'll ever be" Y/n says with a big smile.
Jim goes over to Y/n and messes up her hair just like she did to Aiden.
"Jim! No fair" Y/n laughs glaring at him.
"Auntie did that to me too" Aiden says with a big smile.
"Who do you think taught her that?" Jim says pointing at himself with a smirk.
"You did not" Y/n says with a laugh.
"Yes I did" Jim says with a smirk.
"No" Y/n says.
"Yes" Jim says.
"Ok Jim you gotta go you guys can finish this debate later" Melinda tells them laughing.
"Ok we'll finish this later" Jim says with a smirk and a glare.
"Ok old man you're on" Y/n says with a smirk.
"Hey I'm not that old" Jim says coming over and tickling Y/n on her sides.
"Jim..J..JIM!" Y/n yells laughing trying to push his arms away.
"Still ticklish in the same place you were years ago" Jim says with a laugh.
"Ok you have to go, or you'll be late" Melinda says to Jim.
"Ok I'm going bye love you" Jim says kissing Melinda.
"Yuck" Y/n says jokingly sticking her tongue out.
Aiden laughs at Y/n's comment.
"Ha ha very funny Sunshine bye love you"Jim says hugging Y/n goodbye.
"Bye love you too" Y/n says back with a laugh.
"Bye Buddy love you have a good day" Jim says hugging Aiden goodbye.
"Bye Dad love you too" Aiden says.
Jim leaves for work and it's almost time for Aiden to leave for school on the school bus.
"Aiden the school bus is here" Melinda says.
"Ok Mom I'm coming" Aiden says running to the front door.
"Slow down there flash, bye love you have a good day" Melinda says hugging Aiden.
"Bye Mom love you too" Aiden says.
"Bye Buddy have a good day and remember to be good love you" Y/n says with a smirk hugging Aiden.
"I will and love you too" Aiden says running out of the door to the bus.
Y/n and Melinda wave goodbye to Aiden who's on the bus and they get into Melinda's car driving to the antique shop for Y/n's first day.
