Ned sees the Gordon houses door creaked open and panic sets in, he rushes in looking around for anything that he could see (not a ghost).
"Y/n!" Ned yells looking around the house nervously.
"I'm here, one sec!" Y/n calls down to him from upstairs.
Y/n walks down the stairs smiling when she sees Ned but the smiles turns into confusion when she sees the nervous look on his face.
"Ned what's wrong?" Y/n asks him stepping closer to him grabbing his hand.
"Where's Clover?" Ned asks realizing that if the front door was open that Clover could have left the house.
"He's sleeping in my room upstairs why?" Y/n looks at him confused.
"The front door was open a bit" Ned points at the door.
Y/n's face pales while hundred of possible scenarios play in her head. Is it a ghost? A person? Shadow? Shinie? Lost soul?
"Hey it's okay I didn't mean to worry you I just wanted to make sure that you and Clover are safe" Ned squeezes her hands trying to calm the obvious panic she was feeling.
"The group is getting together tonight to try and find the ghost that's been bugging me for the past week"
Y/n sighs remembering the sleepless nights and nonstop whispers.
"I'll be there" Ned smiles down at her kissing her forehead.
"Until then I'm going to the lake with Hannah for the day" Y/n smiles excitedly.
"Okay be safe please" Ned looks down at her worried.
"I'll be fine Ned don't worry" she kisses him before walking upstairs to grab her already packed swim bag.
Y/n and Hannah walk towards the lake talking about the different ghosts they've encountered and Y/n stops in her place when she feels an uneasy feeling in her chest.
"Are you okay?" Hannah looks at her concerned.
"Yeah I'm fine let's swim" Y/n conjures up a smile and continues to walk to the lake with Hannah following her confused.
Y/n takes her clothes off now just in her swimwear she walks into the lake letting her body adjust to the cold temperatures of the water.
"Is it cold!" Hannah yells from the rocky shore while she lays out their towels.
"Yeah a bit..but it should be.." Y/n feels something grab her ankle pulling her under.
She looks down seeing a woman with a blue face with seaweed stuck in her grey hair pulling her body down to the bottom of the lake.
"Y/n!" Hannah panics running into the lake to find where she went.
Y/n flails her arms and legs trying to get away from the tight grip on her ankle. She looks around panicking seeing the bubbles surrounding her creating a white wall of bubbles. She can feel her breath being trapped in her lungs like a cage as her eyes start to close before they fully close she sees one last face, her Dad looking at her with the same worried crease in his eyebrows he had whenever she got hurt as a kid.
"Y/n!"
Two arms wrap around Y/n's waist dragging her out onto the rocky shore laying her down with the water pooling around her limp body.
"Come on Y/n!" Hannah yells trying to wipe the tears falling from her eyes as she puts her head close to
Y/n's mouth to hear any breathing.
Hannah starts to panic getting ready to do CPR when Y/n's body shoots up with white eyes.
"Protect her at all costs once she's gone souls are lost forever" Y/n speaks in a monotone voice before her body drops back down onto the ground.
Hannah feels her body shaking from the fear of Y/n being in trouble and witnessing her friend being possessed.
Hannah runs to her bag fumbling with it finding her phone. She looks at the service bars seeing none and yells from the build up of stress and worry.
Y/n gasps throwing her body forward coughing up a mixture of water and sand from the lake.
Hannah runs over to her patting her back to help the liquid come out of her stomach.
"I think we're done with the lake"
Later:
Mel's group and Y/n's group work together after Y/n is almost drowned in the lake that her and Hannah went swimming in. Just like the lost souls visions she had before. They start their search at the lake.
"Ghostie!"
Todd calls out to the ghost.
Caleb and Hannah look and Todd with an are you serious look.
Caleb hits the back of Todd's head telling him to shut up while Hannah rolls her eyes at the two.
"I think I found something!" Eli yells to the group from further ahead.
