"I'm going shopping for dinner tomorrow after work! So I'll be home a little later than usual."
Inko said with a smile.
Raven was living there and her and Midoriya had retrieved her few belongings from the tree she had been living in.

"What's tomorrow?"
Raven asked.

"Oh I invited a few family friends over, I hope you don't mind sweetie!"
She said closing the door behind herself.

'Shit that's tomorrow?! Kacchan is totally gonna kill me.'

"You guys have friends coming over?"
Raven asked Midoriya with a smile.

"Y-yeah... Friends..."
Midoriya mumbled packing up his things for school, it was Friday so unfortunately he still had to see Bakugou.
And tell him that there's nothing he can do about tomorrow. He looked back at Raven, a new fear in his mind.
Would Bakugou be mean to her while here? Maybe even hurt her? He was definitely capable of it.
"I got to go to school, you'll be okay here by yourself right?"
He asked her and she nodded.

"Of course!"
She said making herself comfortable on the couch, a cartoon she's never seen playing on their small TV.

"Alright, I'll see you later then, bye."
He said closing the door behind him with a sigh, he could hear her faintly saying goodbye in return through the door.

'Alright... It's just school! Not that big of a deal, I go there pretty much everyday! Nothing to be worried about!'

....................

Midoriya was slammed into the lockers and then kicked in the gut by his childhood friend.
He was pretty used to being roughed up by Bakugou, but today was a little worse than usual.
"ARE YOU REALLY THAT FUCKING USELESS?!"
Kacchan yelled down to him.

"Wait Kacchan-"
Bakugou grunted and grabbed Midoriya by his collar, lifting him back up.

"What?!"
He barked in Midoriya's face.

"I'm sorry-"
Bakugou scoffed and kneed him in the groin.

"Yeah you are fucking sorry."
Bakugou said letting Midoriya fall to the ground in pain.

"See you tomorrow Deku."
He said walking through the halls of the school.
Izuku scrambled to collect his items that Bakugou made him drop.
His nose was bleeding and dripping onto the floor, not to mention the horrible pain from Bakugou's last hit.
But he needed to get home, he was worried for Raven. She'd been in the house by herself for awhile and he didn't want his friend to get lonely.

He started walking, or rather limping through the halls to the courtyard. Holding the straps of his bookbag.

..................

"Izuku! What happened?!"
Raven asked the moment she saw him come inside. She rushed over from under a blanket and took his bookbag.
"You're bleeding!"
She exclaimed, grabbing his hand and pulling him into the kitchen.

"I'm fine Raven! Just a nosebleed!"
He chuckled as she pushed him into a chair.

"Nosebleeds Don't cause bruises."
Raven said, running cold water over a paper towel.

"Oh..."
He whispered, he didn't know he had a bruise forming on his cheek.
"I did fall in the hallway on my way home... It was pretty embarrassing, but the only thing that was really hurt was my pride."
He chuckled.
When did he become such a good liar?

Raven gave him a doubting look.

'Well... Maybe I'm not such a good liar.'
He thought.

Raven shook her head and then gently used the wet towel to clean off the blood under his nose.
"Thanks Raven."
He mumbled, she frowned and didn't respond.
She got up and threw away the paper towel and retrieved an icepack from the freezer.

Now that Izuku had a chance to look around the house he realized that it looked a little different then when he left.
"Did you clean up?"
He asked Raven who smiled.

"Uh huh."
She said, pressing the icepack against his cheek. He took in a breath at the sudden cold and then smiled a little.

"You didn't have to do that. You're our guest."
He told her and she shook her head.
"I don't mind, I wanted to do something to help out."
She told him with another smile.
"Anyways, I didn't want to just sit around the whole time you were at school."
She explained and he nodded.

"Alright then."
He said with a small smile.
'She's so nice, and such a good person. She deserves much better than living in trees.'
He thought to himself, looking at the girl infront of him. Who was gently tending to his wounds.

He was slightly disturbed by one thing.
She seemed to know exactly what to do, she didn't skip a beat when tending to him. Like she was used to dealing with this stuff.
He couldn't help but wonder about her family, she said they didn't like her right? She didn't mention any abuse but it was still a possibility.
Did she leave because of something like that?

He knew that if that was the case she probably wouldn't tell him, even if he asked. At least not yet, she still didn't trust him a hundred percent.

So he'd have to wait and talk to her about it later on, when he was sure she'd actually be more inclined to answer.
