Believe it or not Bakugou wasn't stupid. He was actually quite smart, strategic and cunning. After that little interaction with Raven in Midoriya's house Bakugou knew that he had to approach Raven in a different way.
He had to start off with being just a friend, if he pushed her about anything sexual or romantic at first it would either make her uncomfortable, or fly over her head.
So he had to make her trust him. Make her LIKE him, and then go from there. He hated the fact that it put him on even grounds with Deku, but that didn't mean he wouldn't win.
Because Bakugou Katsuki ALWAYS won. It was his passion, and beating Deku? His obsession.
It was fun to him, like a game. Normally it wasn't even hard.
But he did have a feeling that this challenge would be a little more difficult. It was something about the look in Deku's eyes yesterday. It wasn't a look he'd ever seen on his face.It pissed him off.
Him being all brave, and determined and even cocky. It was super annoying, everything about Deku was annoying. Lucky for Bakugou there was only one day left of school, and then he'd be allowed to do whatever the hell he wanted.
Well as long as he avoided his mom. He usually stayed out of the house or in his room 'studying' all the time. Because the old Hag liked to think he was constantly working for better grades, as though he wasn't already a straight A student.
He stood leaning against a building, glaring over to the side.
If he was gonna go after Raven, he was gonna have to do it without Deku around to screw something up.
He crossed his arms and looked at their apartment door. Why did they have to live in such a shitty ass neighborhood? It smelled like crap and there were so many stupid hobos are whatever walking around. The place have Bakugou the creeps.Raven's parents must've been really desperate if this is where they dumped her.
Speaking of which... who the hell just leaves their kid when they go out of town?! I mean his parents did sometimes, but they left him at HIS house. This girl had to be old enough to stay home alone right? Why dump her with the Midoriya's?
Bakugou sighed. He knew that staking out their apartment was kinda creepy. Well actually it was completely creepy and something he wasn't proud of, but how else was he supposed to make sure Deku left the house?!
Then he did, the opening of the door caught his attention and Bakugou pulled his cap down just slightly to hid his face better. From here all he could really see was the teen's green hair as he closed the door and locked it behind him.
'Damn it, he locked it.'
Bakugou thought with a frown.
He must have though Bakugou would come back over, or maybe he had locked it last time too and Raven had just unlocked it for Bakugou. Why the hell did they lock their doors anyways? It's not like they had anything valuable in there.
He watched as the green haired male walked past the other apartments doors to the elevator and got in. The doors closed infront of him and Bakugou lost sight of the guy. He Waited a few minutes for the door of the first story to open and let him out. After Deku had left the building and walked down the street Bakugou shoved his hands in his pockets and started to walk to the apartment complex.
He opened the front door to the lobby, the front desk that you would normally have to check with before entering was unmanned. Who knew where the woman that was supposed to be watching it was. Bakugou's nose scrunched up as the musty smell hit his senses.
He hated this place.
His mom and Deku's mom had been friends for awhile. Since before Bakugou was born. His parents had been low income too, living in a place like this when he was a toddler. Until his mom's designs made it big and was picked up by some major company.
Now he was so much better than this.
Better than musty cramped buildings and tiny apartments. That kind of stuff was beneath him. His mom insisted that wealth wasn't important. But of course she would say that, she grew up broke.
That's the only reason she was still friends with these idiots.
He walked into the elevator and groaned as the weak light flickered when it was pulled up to the higher floors. He always felt like this elevator was gonna fall and crush him. It never felt safe.
This place was a dump.
The rickety elevator took him up and the door creaked open with a lighthearted 'ding' once he got to his destination.
He stepped out quickly and walked down three doors. Knocking once, he made sure it wasn't loud.Friendly.
He had to be friendly, and not intimidating. That was important, according to Deku he had freaked her out last time, that interaction had just taken him a few steps backwards. Now he had to Make up for it.
He heard some shuffling, he swore these walls were paper thin. He could hear everything.
Someone was at the door, but they weren't opening it.
"Uh... who's there?"
A meek voice asked from the other side, though it was slightly muffled."Bakugou, I want to talk to you."
Bakugou said, trying not to sound as gruff as he usually did. There was more silence.
"I don't know..."
Raven said simply from the other side of the door. Bakugou stifled a groan and ran a hand down his face."I just wanted to say... I'm..."
He hated himself for this.
"I'm sorry."A/n:
