AS WE WALK THROUGH the sewers, flashlights in hand. Ben seems to notice something in the floor and picks it up.
it's only a orange thing with tassels, but the small gesture is enough to let us know there's been someone here.
"hardy-har-har." richie says blandly.
"yeah, well, adleast we know we're on it's trail." ben reasons.
"maybe this is where it wants us to be?" mike queries.
"eddie, which way is derry?" bill asks. eddie looks around for a second before pointing forwards at a trail. bill sighs. "okay. look, bev, you get up front where you can get a clear shot. and you guys, stay together! no stragglers."
i grab hold of stanley's hand and pull him forwards since he was quite a bit away from the rest of the group and we give eachother nervous looks.
we continue down the train until me and stanley slightly fall back from the others, not being as close.
just as we go past where a corner would be, i feel myself being harshly grabbed from behind.
i was confused and tried to move away though they continued to drag me back and when i tried to scream it just came out muffled.
i don't register what happens for the next few second after i get my head bashed off of something but when i open my eyes henry bowers is in front of us giving a creepy look, two of his friends close by.
"hey kids, i guess you're the firsts?" he asks, though it's clearly rhetorical. a knife clicks open in front of us and i begin to shake my head.

the curly haired one grabbed Stanley and roughly held his arms behind his back, very tightly.
just as i made a move to help him, his other friend who was one of the kids at the rock interaction grabbed me.i tried to make him let go, to make him stop. though he didn't.
"awww, the two lovers go first." bowers coos as he looks between us both. his wide eyes find mine, my expression apologetic as i attempt to pull away. "isn't this cute?"

"ladies first?" she asked stan who glared at him and stiffly shook his head. my expression melted as tears gathered in my eyes.
