"It's been a while since I last visited here," said Kai, gazing out over Conton City from the sky. The vibrant city buzzed with energy, a hub of activity and purpose.
After meeting his mom and Elder Kai, he set out to visit Capsule Corporation. But first, he wanted to pick up some new items and clothes at the Recreation Plaza.
"Hmm... This Yardrat armor looks neat. Should I buy it, though?" he pondered, eyeing the sleek design of the armor.
After a moment's consideration, he made up his mind and approached the Shop Robot. "How much does this Yardrat armor cost?"
"Only 20,000 Zeni, sir," the robot replied in a cheerful tone.
"Great! Here." Kai pulled out his wallet and paid for the armor. The Shop Robot handed him a capsule containing the new clothes.
"Thank you. Please visit again soon," the Shop Robot said as Kai turned to leave.
With his purchase secured, he headed over to the Transfer Shop Clerk to teleport to a Time Miniature. These special devices were located on floating platforms above Conton City and allowed access to large Rifts in Time that had begun appearing suddenly. This particular one would take him directly to Capsule Corporation.
In an instant, Kai was teleported to a floating platform. He approached the Time Miniature and touched it, feeling a bright light envelop him before dissipating, revealing the iconic Capsule Corporation.
"Hey Mr. Konkon!" he called out, spotting one of the Murasaki Brothers.
"Oh, it's you! It's been a while, hasn't it?" Konkon replied as they shook hands.
"Yeah, kinda busy in my world. Anyway, do you know where Mrs. Vegeta is? My watch was damaged when Aniki and I fought against Turles and Lord Slug."
"She's inside the building," Konkon pointed towards the dome structure that housed Capsule Corp.
Kai thanked him and made his way inside. As he entered, he found Bulma working on an invention while Vegeta was inside the gravity chamber.
"Bulma! What did you do?" Vegeta exclaimed as he collapsed to the floor, paralyzed.
"I tried to make a paralyzing gun using your energy you gave me before," Bulma replied with a smirk, clearly proud of her creation.
She turned around and spotted Kai. "Hey Kai! Long time no see!" she greeted him warmly. She wore a brown long-sleeved button-down shirt paired with dark green pants, a dark brown vest, and brown gloves—an outfit that suited her well.
"Hey Mrs. Vegeta. I wonder if you can fix my watch. It got kind of damaged after I fought Turles," Kai said as he showed her the broken device.
"Hmm... this will only take about half an hour to fix," Bulma said while examining the watch closely.
"HEY!! How long will I be in this state?!" Vegeta shouted from the floor.
"The effect should last five minutes! Kai, please take care of my husband while I repair your watch," she instructed as she walked toward her lab.
Kai approached Vegeta, who was still lying on the floor. He helped him sit down in a nearby chair.
"I can't believe that stupid gun could stop me," Vegeta sighed in frustration.
"So hey, Mr. Vegeta. I have a question," Kai began cautiously.
"What is it, kid?" Vegeta asked, his tone more curious than annoyed now.
