We are expecting James to pop out any day now. I have been getting lots of rest and we are ready. James's room is done and beautiful. the curtains at his window near the crib has blue curtains and billows gently when a breeze comes in. we have set up a mobile on the ceiling above the crib. It has broomsticks and a Quaffle, Buldgers, and in the middle a huge golden snitch. It i representing his parents' favorite wizarding sport and his father's good eyes as a seeker.

It was noon the next day when my water broke and I had my first contraction. I called for Harry and he rushed to my side and used magic to get me to a muggle hospital as fast as he can without the muggles seeing him use it. The doctors took me into a room and i told Harry to get stuff ready for the baby. Harry nodded and looked at me with a worried expression whenever I cried out because of a contraction. I told him I'm fine and we will all be fine. But he continues to worry. Soon the doctors come to check before I give birth.

They said that the baby is in perfect condition and I should start preparing. then they had me moved to the delivery room. Harry decided to come so I warned him about mood swings I might have.

Harry's pov
I was so worried because I had been thinking about the many things that can go wrong during childbirth and I hoped both Mione and little James will be all right. As Hermione was moved to the delivery room I held her hand and told her everything is going to be alright.

She then said she wanted to be put out of consciousness so that she won't feel the pain. I stayed by her side though and watched. Her body heaved while she was unconscious and I was happy that I did not need to see her in pain. A nurse beckoned me to go to the foot of the bed to see the baby come out it took 2 min after I reached the foot of the bed that the head came out. Little James was crying very loudly. I smiled at the sight. The next part seemed harder for the doctor. It took a while but after about 10 min he was able to get the rest of the body out. He cut the cord and handed baby James to the nurse standing ready nearby. She went to go give James his first bath.

Mione was moved back to her hospital room. And eventually woke up and as she was beginning to recover, the nurse put baby James in my arms. She saw him and smiled. His little cheeks were as red as scrubbed apples and his eyes were still shut tight. Hermione then sat up in her hospital bed and I gently laid James into her arms. She smiled down at him, then at me. She leaned over and kissed me on my cheek. Then I also smiled at her, then down at James. And she whispered

"James Sirius Potter. You are named after your Paternal Grandfather and your father's godson James."

I smiled at her. Man, she is so sweet. I could never stop loving this girl.

Hermione's pov
The Weasleys came in the room smiling. Harry had called them all when I had my checkup so that they could see the baby. I showed all of them and Molly exclaimed

"Another James Potter!"

I laughed and Harry said to me

"After you get discharged I wanna go straight to my parent's grave and show James to them."

I smiled at the fact and said

"I'll leave another wreath, with the white roses again."

He smiled at that and kissed me lightly on the cheek.

"OK Harry, I'm ready."

I said. We were dressed in normal muggle clothes and had James dressed as well and in a carriage. I got discharged but we decided to go home and change before we go to my mother and father-in-law's grave. Harry and I decided we should take a first walk with James and that will be to his grandparent's grave. We walked slowly on the path to the graveyard, the red and orange leaves of fall crunching under our feet and the wheels of the carriage. Harry was pushing James who was asleep while I was holding Harry's arm and half-leaning against him. He smiled at me and I lifted my head slightly to smile back.

We reached the graveyard and Harry walked straight to his parent's gravestone. Then there was a cry. James woke up. Harry gently lifted him out of the carriage. He held him and crouched down in front of the grave. He seemed at a loss for words. Then when I heard him sniffle I knew that he was crying. I crouched down next to him. Then I looked at the gravestone and said,

"Mother, Father, this is your grandson James Sirius Potter. I promise to try to be the best wife and mother to James and Harry."

Harry looked at me and smiled. Then I whispered

"Look Harry, he has your eyes."

He smiled down at James who was not awake but silent. James's eyes were bright green as Harry's. Like Lily Potter's Harry was often told when he was younger. He had my brown Hair that curled around his little head. We smiled down at him. I left another wreath of white roses and Harry took out a picture that Ron took of me, and Harry (No pictures taken of James yet) that moved (obviously).

We walked back home and then Ron and Lavender came over. I talked with Lavender while the two boys sat on the couch laughing and enjoying themselves. Lavender looked at James and asked if she could hold him (since she had changed her ways from 5th year) I gently put James into her arms. Then the boys came over and Ron looked at James and said

"Oi Harry, he's got your eyes mate."

"Sure Ronald, we never noticed that!"

I said to him sarcastically.

"Ok Ok god Hermione I was just commenting on James's green eyes."

Ron put his hands up in mock surrender. Harry and I laughed. Lavender then put James into Harry's arms and Ron said

"I think we should go now we have some things we have to sort out at home."

"Oi, Ron wait!"

Harry yelled after them.

"What is it mate?"

asked Ron, turning around

"Ron, do you want a job at the Ministry?"

"What?!"
