-5 years later-
(In the meantime we had another boy Albus Severus Potter)
"Mom, Dad! I got it!"
James yelled.
"Shut it James!"
Lily and Lilly both yelled at him at once.
"Shut it!"
Albus repeated as a three year old
"Enough!"
Harry said sternly
"What is it James?"
I asked. He looked at me with shining eyes.
"Mom, it's my Hogwarts letter!"
"Ok then, that is a trip to Diagon alley to get your supplies."
Harry said but he continued
"And to celebrate, each of you can get something from the Weasley's Wizard Wheezes shop."
and in a whisper added to me
"You too Mione"
I started to protest but he shushed me and I blushed. He smiled back at me and we followed the kids into the kitchen to eat breakfast. We ate quickly and changed. And went to Diagon Alley by Floo powder. Tom and Harry shook hands and started talking while I watched the kids look around. Harry said
"Mione, Let's go."
And so we went to go get robes first and who shall we bump into but Draco and his son Scorpius. He curtly nodded at us and we decided to get our robes in a hurry and go to Ollivanders. James was so excited to get his wand. Ollivander said
"Ok, Mr.Potter. Um... we shall use a interesting one shall we? How about this one? Almost identical to the one James Sr., your grandfather had bought I think."
James gave it a wave. A vase shattered to pieces. Ollivander said
"Harry and Hermione Potter can I see you wands please I have found out recently that sometimes the wand that chose the parent can contribute to the wand that chooses the child... Oh, yes my father told me about yours yours Harry Potter. It was the curious one with the Phoenix feather from Fawkes was it? Holly, and 11 inches long. Hmmm... And Hermione Granger Potter... 10 3/4 inches long, made of vine wood and with a dragon heartstring core."
I nodded. Ollivander went off to get a different box.
"How about this one? Holly, 11 inches long, with a dragon heartstring core."
James gave it a wave and it shot out gold and scarlet sparks. That was the wand for him. Harry gave Ollivander some gold and we left. We then went to Flourish and Botts to get books. Harry helped James get his books while I looked around for some books about housekeeping. Then I bumped smack dab into... Dacey?!
"Woah sorry?"
he grabbed my shoulders
"My bad."
a little girl looked up at him that was around James's age. She looked so similar to someone I knew...
"Hi you are Hermione right?!"
Dacey looked as surprised as I did. Oh... That little girl looked like Cho!
Cho then came followed by Harry and James, and Albus. I had Lily and Lilly with me. Cho had another little girl with her. Cho said
"Dacey look who I... Oh Hermione!"
She smiled at me and then said
"Oh! You have four little ones!"
"And you have two."
Harry said. We introduced our kids to each other and we found out that their older daughter, Mei was going to school with James, and that their younger one, Ruomei will be going with Albus. We had a good chat and we went to the Leaky Cauldron to go get lunch. We then went our separate ways. We went to go get James's pewter cauldron and all his other stuff. Then we went to the Weasley's Wizard Wheezes shop to get gifts for the kids. I had already got my gift. Harry had bought me beautiful pale pink colored robes. I love them. They have laces on the sleeves and I can wear them to slightly formal events.
The kids ran about the shop to look for things to buy while Harry and I talked to George. Soon James came running with instant darkness powder. I looked down at him holding that product and then nudged Harry. Harry looked down at James and said
"Maybe you will want to get something else buddy. I don't want my eldest son to be a troublemaker in school."
James looked disappointed but then decided to go get something else. He left to look around more. Soon he came back with Albus who was clutching a rubber chicken to his chest; one of George's products. We decided to buy that for Albus. That was when Harry, George, and I got in an argument. it was about the price. George insisted on giving it to us for free but we insisted we pay full price. He kept on saying no, that he owes Harry from the money that he gave Fred and George to open the shop. We ended up compromising. We get half discount of each item we buy.
But we still had to wait for Lily, Lilly and James to get what they want. We knew Lily and Lilly were going to get the same thing. They look alike, they act alike, their personalities are alike the only ones that can tell them apart is Harry, James, Albus and I. James soon came with a box that said "Extendable Ear" on it. And shortly after Lily and Lilly came too each with a jar of "Chinese Fortune Sticks." We all got them those things and walked back home with them.
That was a great day. We all got things we wanted (I secretly had gotten Harry a broom service kit for his Firebolt 1). I gave Harry his service kit when we got home and he loved it. We then decided we will help James pack his trunk and get ready to go to Kings Cross Station in about 4 weeks.
