First day of school in Year Six. I walk to school with my mum, excitement fluttering in my stomach. This would be the last year. The final stretch before secondary.

We reach the school gates. I see my friends. Daisy, Pearl and-

George.

He doesn't remember. It's good though. Everything would be back to normal.

I kiss my mum goodbye and race over to the group.

'Good morning fellow humans!'

I smile as we chat about our summers.

Obviously, I'd done what I usually did; go out every now and then, call George and Daisy, and meet up with George. A lot.

'That last time we met up at Russel was so fun! I can't believe we saw Izzy and Maya as well!' I exclaim.

'I know, right?' George replies, completely oblivious to my lie.

George looks at my hair. 'Wait, oh my gosh, you tied your hair up Lily!'

'I know, I got used to it over the summer. Looks nice, doesn't it?'

'Yes!'

It didn't look half as good as Annabeth's though.

'I like your necklace, Lily Rachel!' says Daisy.

'Oh, thanks,' I say, twirling my finger around the small bead. 'It's hand painted. A friend did it for me.'

I look down at the glowing tree.
