"Taehyung!" A raspberry haired boy heard a voice of a 12-year-old kid. He kept staring at the wonderful sunset. He continued burying his tiny feet in the sand. Got comfortable in the towel that was wrapping his body. Water trickled down from his raspberry flocks. He paid no mind.
"Taehyung!" This time the shout sounded nearer. The little boy was too busy enjoying the melody of the waves crashing down. It was all too peaceful.
He heard quick footsteps nearing. He could make out from the sound that the person was barefoot. They stopped abruptly right beside him. He heard pants from the other. He still didn't look at who it was-because he already knew. He kept staring at the beautiful sky. The kid settled beside him. Got comfortable in the atmosphere.
After a long silence, he felt the kid rest his hand on his shoulder. "Taehyung." The voice was softer that cotton.
"Hmm?"
"Why did you not call back when I did? What are you doing?"
"It's beautiful."
The kid kept staring at the now raspberry haired. "Certainly is."
Taehyung turned towards the other. "I am talking about the beach. The sunset." And turned again to admire the scenery again.
There was a long silence again. It was there every time when he was with this kid. But it was not awkward. He liked it. It was comfortable. It felt like home. Maybe, because they were a lot alike. They both were more mature than most of the kids of their age. Never fitted in the crowd. Maybe it was because of their brutal past. They both shared a terrible childhood. They found each other and- it was a miracle. No one else knew Taehyung as much as he did. He is not going to let him go.
He took a long breath and settled in the moment. He felt fingers entwine in his wait salty hair. The other rubbed his fingers against his scalp, massaging slightly-content by the soft texture. "You love dying your hair, don't you?"
"Hmm."
"I mean-till today morning it was an honest brown. And now it's red."
"It's a raspberry shade."
"Same difference."
"No."
"The point is-couldn't you have gone for something less flashy? It gains unnecessary attention, you know." The little kid complained.
Taehyung only smiled. "I like attention."
"Taehyung!!" Taehyung gained a smack on the shoulder. The kid's irritated voice echoed on the beach.
"Taehyung?" The soft voice now sounded raspy. It was distant to his ears. He shifted in his seat. He realised he was in a car."Taehyung?" The voice was very gentle and right beside him. He felt a hand on his shoulder. He rubbed his eyes and looked at the person. Who was none other than Jungkook. His eyes had not adjusted to the light yet. He continued rubbing his face.
"What happened?" he asked in a sleepy voice.
"We're here. You slept throughout the ride. I felt like you should have some rest and didn't wake you up." The ravenette withdrew his hand, gaze constant on the purple haired.
"Thanks." He drew a long breath and stared at nothing for a while. He finally woke up.
The ravenette handed him the water bottle. They were outside a boutique.
"Let's go." The ravenette stepped out of the car and opened the passenger door. He extended a hand towards the other. To his surprise the purple haired accepted it and stepped out. But he realised that the action was quite absent minded.
