Chapter 12 - Permission to Dance

The dining room was engulfed in silence. There was a thick tension. It was impossible to think straight. On one hand, five girls that were supposedly dead, are now kidnapped. Their traits before their kidnapping were weird. There have been frequent EMPs and there was a woman spotted in each case, the black swan.
And what's the deal with the number seven?

"So, can I ask something?" Hoseok earned everyone's attention. "Like-it's just a thought. I mean, everything they do is with accordance to the number seven. Why have they supposedly kidnapped only five girls. I mean, why not seven?"

After a moment of silence, the blond spoke up. "When was the last girl killed?"

"Tenth of October." The ravenette answered immediately.

"That would mean-the next girl would get kidnapped on the seventeenth. What else do we know about them? Anything common?" Jin suggested.

"Each girl is killed from each of our organizations. So, the next would be the V legacy." Yoongi thought out loud.

"The second minister has a seven-year-old daughter. Jones Hannah." Taehyung informed the others.

"I'll ask Mr. Jones whether they have any plans on the seventeenth." The leader announced and left the dining room.

"Jungkook-" Taehyung spoke up.
"I think we should meet the girl. We might get first-hand information about her weird symptoms if she has any. It will be better than interrogating later." The raven head nodded in response.

"Why can't we just get the girl in custody? She'll be safe with us." The scientist suggested.

"We can't." The cat answered.
"That way, we will lead the enemy right to us. We have orders to stay underground. Also, that is our only method of communication with the enemy. When we come face to face. It is the only way we can find out what exactly happens to girls."

Jin hummed. "We need a solid plan. We have to be prepared."

Silence fell over again. Everybody concentrated on their food. Once they were ready to go, Jimin announced- "I will get as much information about the girl as possible. We have to be prepared. And Jin Hyung, we are out of CN-JPs. Please request the board for more."

With that everyone left to their respective workstations.

"The girl is in the park next street right now. She's alone. You may proceed."
The field agents heard the hacker on the comms. They glanced at each other once and stepped out of the car.

After spotting the girl on the swing from a distance, the silver haired spoke up.
"I don't think we both should go together. She might get scared. Then we won't get any answers. I'll go. You can hear the entire conversation from the comms." He handed him the earpiece and wore one himself.

The ravenette nodded in response. It was a good idea that only Taehyung went. He is pretty good when it comes to kids. Well, Jungkook can be a little intimidating.

He walked further and settled on a bench on the street. He grabbed a magazine. He had a clear view of the little girl and her surroundings. He could see Taehyung approach her.

Taehyung found the girl seated on the swing. She had her head down turned. Hands lazily hanging on to the strings. She was playing with the tiny rocks with her feet. She clearly appeared lonely. One might think she just received a good scolding from her parents.

Taehyung cleared his throat gaining her attention. He expected her to get scared. Instead, she smiled broadly. He waved a hand and gave a huge boxy smile. The little girl radially waved back.
