She ran to the kitchen angrily. She grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed each mirror. The screams faded away. Who was Lydia right now? Lydia just sat in the floor in the hall. She starred at the wall blankly. All she could hear was the air conditioner kicking in. Ding dong the doorbell rang throughout the flat. She looked at the door as if she were to weak to get up. No one knew who she was so.. why would the doorbell ring? There should not be anyone at the door for Lydia. She got up and she slowly opened the door. A little old lady with a crooked smile, looked up at her. "Hello. My name is Margaret. I am your new neighbour." Lydia smiled sarcastically. "Cool." Lydia laughed and slammed the door in her face. As the lady walked back home, Lydia glared out the window. The rain began to fall heavily to the ground. The sound of the rain brought her back to reality. "What just happened?" She felt her forehead. She shrugged it off and closed the curtains. Lydia looked up at the clock it was exactly 9:30 in the morning. It was time for first class. Lydia grabbed her coat and rain boots then headed to the car. She turned the radio to her favorite classic rock station and pulled out the drive way. Even though she was confused, Lydia knew she had to just keep going forward. Sam is dead. Cameron is dead. She has to get over it. She stopped at the red light in town and just jammed to sublime. She tapped along to the music. The light turned green. The sun was shining. She felt happy for once. Lydia parked on campus this time. Usually her anxiety of people, she would park off campus at the nearby coffee shop and then walk; but she felt great today so she parked in the parking lot. She got out of the car and grabbed her bag with books. "Hey!" She turned around to see a tall blonde with blue eyes staring at her. "Hi." She smiled. Her teeth have been hidden from the world, because she never smiled. They were so bright. She thought to herself, wow it actually feels great to smile!
He was riding on a red scooter. "My name is Nolan Myers." He shook her hand. He smiled and the braces he had where also bright, bright green. "I am new here. Actually I am an exchange student from the US. And... everyone I spoke to told me to come to you for tourism." Lydia but her lip. "Hmm?" She turned to walk away but stopped. "I have a class to get to in about five minutes. How about you meet me back here after 11:30?" He nodded. "Will do sweetheart. See Ya!" He went on his way. She did too.
*class time*
Lydia sat in front near the professor. Sociology class was her favorite. She focused so hard on his words she got lost. It was like he was in her head. She felt like she was floating in mid air. His famous quotes danced around her mind. Professor James would always start off class with quotes from dead authors just to make them seem alive again. He was the odd ball out of the whole uni. "Lydia?" "Lydia?" Those words brought her back to reality. "Yes!?" Everyone laughed. "Wake up babe." She smiled.
