Chapter 1: The one and only, Summer Jones :)

Trey's POV

I was falling for my best friend Summer Jones. But of course I was, who wouldn't? It was weird, considering I just recently started liking Summer and we've been friends for over 10 years. Both of us being in year eleven this year makes us friends since year one. Ah, I remember those days of finger painting and pushing my friends off swings when I wanted a turn...Those were the days! I remember little snipets of our childhood together; spending our time in the cubby house we built, doing partner projects in school , we even went to the school social together. Looking back at those days I wondered why I never liked Summer in that way from the very beginning.

Back then I thought of Summer as  a pain in the ass. I was always forced to have dinner with her family as mine and Summer's parents are close and being parents they want Summer and I to be the best of friends; eventually they got their way. I used to find Summer rather odd, with her random rantings, and her 'Facts of the day'... I guess though, I got used to it. I soon started to enjoy the company of Summer. Of course I like her company even more now since I've developed a crush on her. At least that's what I think it is...just a minor, temporary teenage crush.

 I heard Mr. Tort go on and on about chemistry and how ever so important it is in our daily life. As I looked over at Summer, she smiled at me knowingly and let out a fake snore. Giving her a once over, I knew I liked her, I just couldn't begin to explain why. Summer and I have been best friends for years and only now do I truly realise how amazing she is. Just thinking about her makes me smile like an idiot. I see her doodling on her Chemistry book; a stickman being runover by a car. "Mr. Tort?" I mouth to her with a grin. I hear a low giggle in approval, man I loved it when she giggled, showing off her cute dimples.

But being the typical Summer, she always handed in her work on time, no matter how much she disses teachers and makes fun of them... deep down she really is the dream student. Never gone to a party before and is obsessed with uni hunting, practically screams out 'nerd' but she would instantly dislike anybody who called her one. Summer even said she was going to apply for Stanford, which in my opinion would be lucky to have her; with Summer's ongoing talents she would be accepted anywhere. She often played the piano and had a passion for the arts. Singing, dancing, acting she love's it all. I guess you could call her a theatre fanatic. 

After chemistry I started to make my way to the cafeteria. 

"Dude watch it!" I yelled as someone walked into me. Looking at the guy, he seemed pretty decent and I could tell he was new with the lost expression on his face and the school map in his hands.

"Sorry man, I gotta get to D3. Ya know where it is?"

"It's right in front of you." I reply. Turning around I walk to my next class, "The name's Chase!" I hear him yell out behind me. "Trey." I shout back in reply already walking away from him.

Sitting at our usual table I saw Chase walk in and he waved at me, I nod in his direction and turn my attention back to Summer. "Mr. Tort made me sleepy!' she whines unhappily as she lets out a  yawn.  "Tell me about it!" I agree with Summer automatically.

"Did you hear about Casey today? Apparently she was caught in the guys locker rooms in Session 2!" Summer stated excitedly."Wait I was in the locker rooms in Session 2!" Before I can go on I hear someone clear their throat and I look up to see Chase. "Hey um Trey, you mind if I sit with you guys?" I look at the random guys at our table and they all nodded their head in approval. "Yeah sure, umm Chase this is, Summer vice versa." I mumble.

Summer literally stops breathing, I actually thought she was having a heart attack, recovering from her little act she grins. "Hey, is your last name by any chance Crawford?" Summer winks. Where did this Summer come from? I heard them having a little conversation in the background but all I could think was Summer was flirting with CHASE! Since when did Summer even flirt?
