I Am Free

This new world goes by so fast,

Not enough for memories to last.

When all's consumed with speaking facts,

The rest are living in the act.

They rush through all their times in haste,

Knowing there's not a second to waste.

They're all lost in the madness we cause,

Where the times go on without a pause.

When all goes dark, we fall asleep,

The only time we're allowed to weep.

Is this all worth the ways we've lost,

Knowing anyway we'll be tossed.

Through the years, I've been suppressed,

They wouldn't believe I was depressed.

But when these times come back to me,

There's only one thing I can see.

The steps I climbed up just to be,

But now I just know that I am free.
