(This chapter takes place four months after moving in closer part 2.)
It was finally here. The big day. That one day that Max had always dreamed of. He was finally going to marry Grace. He and Grace had been planning for months. It all came too fast. But they were ready. Everyone would be attending. Jack, Will, Halt and lady Pauline, even the Barron himself. Jack's new girlfriend Cathy would also be attending. Max and Jack had already graduated to a full fledged Ranger, so he had his new formal outfit. There wasn't much of a difference accept that instead of a bronze oak leaf patch where a brooch could go, it was silver. When he was on his way back to the cabin, he ran into Horace who was on his way to the castle. "Oh bello Horace, what brings you to castle Redmont today?" "Oh hello Max didn't hear you coming. Anyway Cassandra's after is the one marrying you and grace, probably the last one he'll do. I figured I could just tag along." "Well thank you for coming, I'll see you at the ceremony." "And you." Max continued to the cabin and when he walked in, he found the former king himself and his daughter at the table. "Oh hello Max. It's good to see you. How have you been?" "I have been very good your highness. It's good to see you as well. Thank you as well for coming here for my wedding." Max was in a hurry so he could make it to the ceremony on time. But he still needed to be very, very polite. Max continued a conversation he didn't want to have. But he did find a time to get going. "Your majesty it's no surprise that I'm in a big hurry, but I must be going to the ceremony. I'll see you later." Max moved towards the final minutes before he married Grace. After this he wouldn't be just a ruthless killing machine, but also a husband. Eventually he hoped to be a father as well, but that could wait for in the future. And then he saw her, at the end of the aisle. Even more beautiful than ever. Slowly she made her way down, towards him. In just a few minutes now he would be married. He and Grace would be staying in Castle Araluen for a couple weeks before they both returned to there jobs. Now Grace was standing right in front of him. He was so happy, he was smiling from ear to ear, and he couldn't hear a thing that the king was saying. All he could hear was his own heart beating so hard and fast it could be mistaken for a stampede of horses running right behind the building. But he was able to see that the king looked to him, that he had to say, "I do." And the king looked to Grace and they both spoke, and just like that, Max and Grace were married. They would be spending the rest of their lives together. Max couldn't be happier. He got to be with the girl he's loved forever. It was the greatest day of his life. And it would be for about 10 months.
