Ruby sat at a table, thinking about how to talk some sense into Blake and get her to try and stop before she pushed herself too far. She had heard her and Silver's conversation and Blake had practically bitten the older Faunus' head off, while he kept himself calm throughout the entire argument.

Now, whenever they were in the same room, Blake would just glare at Silver, tell them she was going somewhere else, and disappear for the rest of the day. Something needed to be done, because this was starting to become a problem.

Weiss slammed her hands on the table Ruby was sitting at, snapping the younger girl out of her thoughts.

"I need you to pick a tablecloth." She said, inching two tablecloths that looked almost identical towards Ruby.

"Aren't they both the same?" She asked, confused.

Weiss let out a frustrated sigh.

"I don't even know why I asked." She grumbled, before walking away.

Silver entered the ballroom and Weiss went to him, asking him the same question.

"Weiss, we both know that you're gonna want the fancier looking tablecloth, so I don't know why you're even asking me." He said.

"What, I can't ask my co-leader which tablecloth to use?" Weiss asked.

Silver raised an eyebrow at her.

"Okay, you're right." Weiss groaned. "But you didn't need to call me out like that."

"Maybe, maybe not." Silver replied with a shrug. "When everything is all set up, we should head to the dorm. I've got a little game we could play that'll let us get to know one another better."

"Sure." Weiss replied.

Ruby was alone with her thoughts again as her mind settled on the end of Silver and Blake's argument.

"I thought you wanted to bring them down."

"I do... But not like this..."

Yang had set a loudspeaker down and walked towards Ruby, once again breaking her out of her thoughts.

"So." Yang said. "Have you picked out a dress yet?"

"What's the point?" Ruby asked, sounding rather sad. "Who cares about the dance if Blake isn't going?"

"Oh, don't worry." Yang replied, reassuring her sister. "She's going."

"Silver tried to talk to her last night, and she bit his head off." Ruby replied. "How can you be sure she'll come?"

"Call it a hunch." Yang said, before looking at what Weiss was doing. "Weiss! I thought we agreed! No doilies!"

"If I don't get doilies, you don't get fog machines." Weiss retorted, as the door opened revealing Sun and Neptune.

"Your dance is gonna have fog machines?" Neptune asked.

"We were thinking about it." Weiss replied.

"That's pretty cool." Neptune said, causing Silver to roll his eyes.

"You ladies all excited for dress up?" Sun asked.

"Pfft, yeah right." Ruby scoffed.

"Laugh all you want." Yang replied. "I'll be turning heads, tomorrow night."

"What are you two wearing?" Weiss asked.

"Uh, this." Sun replied.

"Ignore him, for he knows not what he says." Neptune added quickly.
