-Five years ago, Village of Kageyuri.-

Kageyuri was a small village near Mistral, notable for its large Faunus population as well as a Dust mine that the Schnee Dust Company hadn't bought yet. Although most of the village's inhabitants were Faunus, there were also humans living there as well. Along with many former members of the White Fang.

It was also being scouted by a masked Faunus, sent to determine the defenses of the village itself. Silver kept his demeanor subdued. The loss of his brothers and sisters-in-arms along with two of his teammates, Iris Carmine, and Robin Steele, the latter being his boyfriend, still weighed heavily on him. He grimaced under his mask as he remembered that mission in Atlas. Their screams as they were gunned down. His friends, his allies, even his mentor. Of the Atlas branch, Silver was sure he was the only survivor.

All because of that heartless monster. That bastard with hair as white as snow, and a demeanor just as frigid.

All because of Jacques Schnee.

Silver would admit that while the Schnee family had... Problems, they weren't all discriminatory, racist, bigotted people. The founder of the SDC, Nicholas Schnee was a shining example of this, and was a figure that Sienna and her followers conveniently forgot about.

But if there was one person from that family that the Bat Faunus despised wholeheartedly... It would be Jacques. People believed that the only monsters in the world were the Creatures of Grimm. Silver knew better.

There was a monster far worse than any Grimm, and it's name was Man.

Shaking his head to clear his mind, Silver left Kageyuri to give his report to his current superior. After the deaths of his branch only a few months ago, Silver began to despise the White Fang's new more radical methods. He wondered if all this death was worth it. If any of this was worth it.

"Report, Sergeant Rose." Adam stated, getting Silver's attention.

"Not much in the way of guards. Two, maybe three garrisons at most." Silver reported. "Why are we even out here, Adam? Tell me that at least."

"To deliver a message." Adam said darkly. "We're moving in. If anyone gets in our way, deal with them."

The squad with him nodded as Silver let out a long, drawn out sigh before they entered the village. Like most in Mistral, Kageyuri was a small, quiet town that favored simpler designs for their buildings. Of course, they were still vulnerable to Grimm attacks, but they did have a small Huntsman presence.

When the White Fang entered the town, the village's reaction was immediate. Unease began to permeate the air as the group of twenty armed and masked Faunus moved through it, their destination ahead of them.

When Adam knocked on the door, there was a small delay, but Silver picked up on the footsteps that were moving their way. The door opened, revealing a female Butterfly Faunus that looked to be about in her thirties, with wings on her back that had a pattern very similar to a monarch butterfly. Her baby blue eyes widened when she saw Adam and a squad of White Fang.

"Jade? What's wrong?" A male voice asked, before a burly looking Mammoth Faunus came into view. "You."

"Nice to see you too, Balthazar." Adam said. "Are you going to invite us in?"

The man, Balthazar, made a gesture to his wife, Jade, who moved aside, letting a few of their visitors in.

"Just you, the kid, and five others. The rest wait outside." The man said sternly, leaving no room for argument.

Adam made a small motion with his hand, telling the rest of his men to stay outside as requested, leaving Silver and Adam to walk inside the modest house.
