Dr. Daisuke started at where experiment 16-89 lay strapped down on the table in front of him. His assistant quickly attached a heart monitor to her finger, inserted an IV into her left arm, and took blood from her right, before leaving the room to check the girl's blood. One of the guards finished cutting off her clothes before tossing them aside and retaking his position by the door, his gun resting lightly in his arms, still pointed at the unconscious form of the fourteen year old who even out cold was more dangerous than everyone in the room combined. He walked closer to the chained down child and started checking all over her body, searching for what could be the cause of her seizures. Starting with her head, he checked her eyes, looked around the metal in her mouth, and looked at her ears and nose. Seeing dried blood in her nostrils and even a bit in her ears as well as the corner of her eyes, he made a note on his I-pad and continued his exam. He had just finished checking every square inch of her body, which he always enjoyed doing, when his boss Shiro came in. "What happened?" Daisuke shook his head, "There is nothing externally wrong, at least that I can find that would cause these symptoms. However, I think she suffered a brain bleed. The symptoms match up; Blood dripping from her nose, blood coming out her eyes and ears, the seizing, it all adds up. The only question is what caused it." Shiro hand was stroking his chin in thought. "Do you think the mental wall we put up is coming under some kind of strain and is causing shock waves?" Daisuke shook his head, "I don't know. This is a new technology and the first live test subject we've ever had. All we know is the block we put in her brain is supposed to theoretically suppress all emotion and lock away any and all memories of her life from before we bought her and brought her here. The only thing we speculate that could actually break through that wall would be Vivian herself, and she would have to desperately want to. Anytime she tries to remember her past, she will come up against the mental wall. Trying to break through that to access her memories would cause extreme agonizing pain in her head, to the point where her body would instinctively back off and focus on something else, anything else, to make the pain stop. The only other way to break the blockade would be if there was something strong enough to bring to mind her past, or remind her of her childhood, which would thereby destroy the wall in one fell swoop." "Do you think that's what caused the bleeding and the seizures," Shiro demanded again, needing a concrete answer. "We can't have her turn back into that worthless creature from before. At this point her mindset is perfection. She can kill with no questions asked, torture without batting an eye, and even if she herself were tortured for information about anything, she wouldn't say a word! Not even to scream in pain. Her body's so used to being used and abused by now she can fight with broken or even missing limbs!" Shiro walked over to look down at the girl's face, a greedy looking smile on his own face as he continued, "Although they don't stay broken or missing for long." Dr. Daisuke went to stand across from him, also looking down at the girl, "I agree that the block should stay up, but I don't think it matters in this case. She has never shown any interest in her past before and I don't see her starting to do that now after all this time." Daisuke heard a noise coming from the I-pad. "It appears her blood test came back in normal parameters for 16-89. She also isn't showing any signs of anything wrong externally. We'll take x-rays, an MRI, and a CAT scan but if those come back normal as well, I'll conclude it was just a residual effect from our most recent experimentation." Shiro locked eyes with the doctor, "That mind blocker better stay in place. We can't afford for it to fall, for her to remember anything that would make her resist us, or worse case, try to kill us."
