Vivian stood outside the classroom by the door, waiting for Nagisa to finish packing his bag so they could walk together to her Masters car. Karma would have come with them, as the three of them had been walking together since she came back to school, but he had to rush to the train to get home early for reasons he refused to tell them. As she was waiting her phone buzzed, making a noise indicating she had a message. Quickly checking to make sure it wasn’t her Master, she noticed it was Karma:

“Hey Mouse. Are you and Nagisa walking to your Dad’s car yet?”

Listening to make sure Nagisa and Koro-sensei were still talking, she replied:

“I have told you before. I am not a mouse… And no, Nagisa is still talking with sensei about his science lesson.”

Vivian didn’t have to wait more than a minute before Karma had already answered her text, the notification overly loud in the silent hallway.

“Whatever you say mouse ;) I’ll see you at school tomorrow. I have to go, but I’ll text you later. See ya.”

“I. Am. Not. A. Mouse.”

Vivian quickly typed back, but she didn’t get a response. She had just put her phone away with a sigh when she smelled someone new on the campus. Before she could decide if she wanted to go investigate this newcomer she heard footsteps coming from the classroom. As Nagisa stepped out of the room, Koro-sensei right behind him, she decided she would search later, waiting in silence as Nagisa said his goodbyes. “See you tomorrow sensei!”  Koro-sensei waved a tentacle in their direction, “Good luck killing me tomorrow you two!” Vivian and Nagisa walked side by side as they slowly made their way towards the exit. “Sorry to make you wait Vivian…” Vivian cut him off before he could spend the whole walk apologizing, “It is alright Nagisa. I am not late meeting my Father’s driver and that’s all that matters.” Nagisa opened his mouth to apologize yet again, but was cut off by voices coming from an open window a few feet away from them, looking into the teachers lounge. With a shared look, they quickly went over to the window to see what was going on. As they got closer, Vivian scented Karasuma and Irina in there, as well as Koro-sensei, which made sense as they were all teachers, however, that unidentified male scent she detected earlier was in there as well. Being careful not to be seen, they looked through the window.  A red haired, stern looking man wearing a gray business suit and red tie was sitting down on one of the desks with Koro-sensei rushing around him giving him a shoulder massage and getting him a glass of tea. “O-Oh! I’m so sorry you had to walk all the way up this mountain! By the way, would it be possible to get a raise?” Vivian surmised by the way he was treating the man; that this must be the principal of Kunikagawa-High, also known as sensei’s boss. Vivian heard Nagisa quickly writing something down. Looking over she saw him write, “Weakness six: kissing up to his boss.” Vivian tilt her head in question, but turned her head back to the window when she heard the principal stand up.  “I’m the one who should apologize. I meant to come say hello a long time ago, but I couldn’t find the time.” Looking over his shoulder at Karasuma he explained, “I’ve heard about you from the ministry of defense and Mr. Karasuma here. Of course I can’t say I that know everything about you…” he trailed off. He stepped closer to Koro-sensei, putting his hands in his pockets. His posture projecting arrogant confidence as he spoke, “But I imagine it must make you sad… wanting to be the savior of this world, but ending up as the villain that’s going to destroy it instead…” Nagisa and Vivian shared a look, “A Savior?” Nagisa whispered the question aloud, but all Vivian could do was shrug. She had no idea what he was talking about, but she filed the information away for later and once again focused on the conversation inside the building. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to bring that up. After all, there’s nothing I can do to save the world,” he continued as he walked closer to Karasuma, whispering overly loud, “I’ll just let things take their natural course. After all, I’ve been paid enough to keep my mouth shut.” He said with a wink.  Karasuma was silent for a moment before he murmured, “We’re grateful for that…” Vitch-sensei seemed to be staring at the principal with a pursuing eye, “You seem like a very practical person… I like that in a man.” “Flatterer…. But as head of this school I must consider the possibility of this school remaining intact. In other words I must consider the school’s future if someone succeeds in killing you.” He sat down and leaned towards Koro-sensei, a look of intimidation on his face. “To put it bluntly, I need the E-Class to stay as it is.” Vivian tilted her head in question, wondering what he meant exactly, but didn’t have to ponder for long as sensei himself answered her unspoken question. “At the very bottom… So that everyone can look down on them?” Beside her Nagisa frowned and as Vivian considered what this meant, the principal went on to explain, “I call it my “worker ant theory”. Like in an anthill, in my group twenty percent barely work, twenty percent work overtime, and the remaining sixty percent work just enough. My goal is to create an environment that guarantees ninety-five percent work hard. I need a scapegoat, a five percent everyone hates and no one wants to be.”  Sensei stood in silence until he finished before saying, “So you want your five percent… E-Class… to be weak and miserable. “I received a complaint from Class D’s homeroom teacher,” the principal continued, seemingly ignoring Koro-sensei. ““One Class E student gave my students a dirty look, while another student from E-Class cornered, and then threatened, the two of them in the bathroom.”” Nagisa looked shocked not only by the insinuation that he gave those D-Class students “a dirty look”, but was also confused by the whole, “cornered them in the bathroom” thing. Nagisa turned to Vivian but she silently put a finger to her lips, telling him with her eyes they could talk about this later as the principal continued. “I know what they are learning in Class-E, so this incident is understandable. I even find it rather amusing. I also don’t fully believe that a student broke into the boys’ bathroom. Especially when they said one of the E-Class girls punched the ceramic sink with her fist and shattered it. My guess is they broke it themselves and were trying to create a scape-goat. However, the real problem is… they are not remembering their place at the bottom of the heap. Class-E needs to be constantly reminded of their station. You know what you have to tell them.” The principal, whose name Vivian made a mental note to herself to learn, reached into his suit pocket and pulled out a meatal wire-looking puzzle. Koro-sensei!” Sensei’s head jerked up in surprise as the principal tossed the metal puzzle at sensei as he shouted, “Let’s see you solve it in less than a second!” “WHAT!? That’s…” sensei stuttered as his tentacles flailed trying to solve the puzzle. Somehow in less than a second, instead of solving the puzzle, he had tangled himself so tight in his own tentacles he was now trapped. “A little help here…?”  Vivian felt rather than saw Nagisa’s jaw drop in shock as he quickly wrote down sensei’s new weakness. “Weakness seven; wire puzzles induce panic in him.” The principal stood over sensei, his finger to his chin in contemplation as he spoke, “Your speed is truly amazing, just as they said. And I’m sure you could evade any attack with it. However,” he crouched down, a look of evil arrogance across his face. The look reminded Vivian so much of her Master, she couldn’t help but stand at attention, making her feel like her Master was about to give her another mission as she listened intently to what he had to say. Nagisa gave her a look, something flashing in his eyes before he looked back through the window, listening to their principal. “However, there are some problems in the world, you just can’t solve with speed…” he finished threateningly as he stood, sending a smile Karasuma and Irina’s way. “I better get going…” Nagisa, upon hearing this, quickly grabbed Vivian’s wrist and dragged her back a few steps right as the principal walked through the door. His eyes locked with Nagisa, and Vivian couldn’t stop herself from stepping in front of Nagisa, trying to hide him from view as she bowed in to him, “Principal,” she stated in a voice even more monotone than normal. At first the principals’ eyes stayed frigid as he continued to stare at the two of them, before his face morphed into a grin, “Hello all! I hope you do well on your midterms! Good Luck!” With one last smile, he turned away, briskly walking out the door. Nagisa and Vivian stayed frozen in their position for what felt like forever before Vivian’s phone went off again. She forced herself to straighten and check it. Seeing that it was the alarm she had set earlier, it warned her she had ten minutes till she had to be at the clearing to meet her driver. Seeing this she turned to Nagisa, “We have to get going. My Father’s driver will be here in ten minutes and it will take us at least seven to reach our destination. Are you coming or staying?” Nagisa continued to stare for a second before he shook himself, “Yeah… yeah, let’s go.” With a nod, Vivian head out the door, Nagisa following slowly behind, a wide eyed look on his face as they walked. Vivian decided to try to figure out what was wrong. “What are you thinking about Nagisa? Is it about the principal?” Nagisa didn’t look at her, his face looking forward as they walked. At first he didn’t answer and they passed the next few minutes in silence before Nagisa spoke, “It’s just…The snide way he said “good luck” instantly brought me down from feeling like a would be assassin, to just a kid in Class-E….” Nagisa trailed off, looking over at Vivian. She didn’t lock eyes with him. Instead she inclined her head for him to continue, letting him know that she was listening. “Koro-sensei is practically invincible as a target, every assassination elegantly avoided…” Nagisa continued, “But as a teacher, even he has to answer to the principal.” Vivian had no idea what to do, didn’t really even understand what he was trying to say, but before she could decide what to do, her body moved on its own. She stepped closer to Nagisa until their hands brushed every time they walked. Nagisa looked over at Vivian in shock but said nothing; instead they both stared straight ahead in silence as they made their way through the forest.
