When Vivian walked into class the next day wearing her usual attire and feeling no adverse effects from the previous day other than slight stiffness in her joints and a slight headache, she was instantly surrounded by a huge portion of the class. "Oh my Gosh Vivian, are you ok?" "Should you really be at school today?" "In fact should she be up walking at all?" "Somebody grab a chair!" Isogai raised his hand, "Guys back off her a bit will you? I think all of us surrounding her like this is making her uncomfortable, besides we don't want to over excite her and cause another seizure." All the students took a big step back, giving enough room for Vivian to breathe. She couldn't stop her eyes from looking over all the concerned faces staring at her as she looked for a pair of blue eyes. She spotted Nagisa near the back of the group but when they locked eyes he came to the front. "Hi Vivian, how are you feeling?" Nagisa asked gently, "Are you sure you're ok to be here today?" Vivian's headache increased but she didn't care as she replied, "I'm fine. My body seems to have had a relapse but I'm perfectly fine today, no lingering symptoms." The group sighed in relief around her, reminding Vivian they were still there. Raising her voice to make sure she was heard, she addressed them all, "Thank you all for your concern. It was kind of all of you to check up on me but like I told Nagisa, I'm fine." Even though her face looked just as emotionless as ever, the class could tell she was uncomfortable with all the attention. Rio spoke up, "We are so glad you're ok Vivian. If you need anything let us know." The class nodded in agreement with Rio's statement. "Oh Vivian! I brought some extra food with me if you want to share lunch later," Okuda said shyly, Yukio and Kaede along with Rio chiming in that they had brought her extra too. Deep inside the prison of her mind, Vivian's emotions were running wild, jumping up and down in joy that she had friends that cared so much about her, but the Vivian on the other side felt nothing more than a slight ache in her chest as she bowed her head, "Thank you for sharing your meals with me." At that the students dispersed, going back towards their seats and waiting for sensei to begin class. Nagisa was the only one still beside her, worry still evident on his face as he asked, "Are you sure you're ok? Do you need anything?" Vivian opened her mouth to tell him to stop worrying but what came out was, "Tanks Berry-kun, I's ok." Vivian's face burned, as she questioned why she blurted that out. Nagisa's eyes had widened in surprise before he smiled warmly, "Your welcome, Vivian." They stood there staring at each other and probably would have stayed there for hours, but then the school bell went off. Vivian immediately looked away, "I have to go sit down now," she told him as she quickly walked away. As Vivian got closer to her seat she realized the new kid, Karma, was leaning back in his chair a row away from her. She froze as neared him, violet met reddish-orange as their eyes locked. Karma slowly sat his chair back down on the floor and stood up. Vivian had to tilt her head back, looking up as Karma got closer to her, having to force her body to stand firm when it wanted to back up, sensing an unknown threat. Karma must have sensed her hesitation as he said, "Hello there little mouse, I didn't see you yesterday, were you hiding?" Vivian eyes narrowed, her hands wanting to clench in to fists at the provocation but she forced them to stay calm and relaxed by her sides, "I am not a mouse. My name is Vivian." Karma's eyes widened, his mouth stretching into a grin, "I know." Vivian tilted her head in confusion, trying to figure out what he was talking about, not even thinking as she blurted out, "Silly Razz-kun." What just happened? Now I'm blurting random stuff to the new kid, Karma, too? What's next?, she silently questioned herself, as she quickly turned around, walked the last few steps to her seat and sat down, keeping Karma in the corner of her eye, waiting to see if he followed to attack, measuring him as a slight threat, only turning to the front of the class when she saw Karma sit back down, still staring at her with open curiosity. Vivian ignored him and instead focused on the form of her teacher coming into the room, surprising her when he walked to his desk, sped around to everyone, leaving their quiz on their desks as he sped by, and heading back to the blackboard before he started punching the wall next to it, his tentacles squishing lightly. Vivian quickly finished her test, checking the clock to see it took her only three minutes, and quickly realized Koro-sensei was still hitting the wall, the squishing of his tentacles echoing around the otherwise silence of the classroom. "What's Koro-sensei doing?" whispered Mimura. "I don't know," Touka, who was sitting next to him, whispered back. "Maybe punching the wall," Mimura tilted his head in thought before agreeing, "Ah, he must still be mad that Karma got the better of him yesterday." If that's as hard as he can hit, that's pretty sad." From her seat Vivian could see Nagisa take his notebook out of his desk and quickly write something down. She could focus her eyes and see what he wrote but she had a pretty good guess already, "Weakness number four: Weak punches." "The wall surrenders Koro-sensei! What about our test?" Katoka yelled in aggravation. Koro-sensei quickly turned around to face her, "What? Oh, sorry." Vivian put her pencil away and was waiting for the rest of her class to finish when she heard Terasaka and Muramatsu speaking with Karma. Resting her head on the table, like she was resting she focused on their voices to hear what they were saying. "Hey Karma... You don't want to get that monster mad you know," Terasaka said with a smirk. Muramatsu following up with, "Yeah, Terasaka knows all about making sensei mad." "Of course I made him mad, I almost killed him," Karma stopped working on his test and looked over at Terasaka, "Hey Terasaka, did'ja wet your pants after you pissed him off?" Terasaka jumped up from his seat, using his hand to hit his desk hard with a SLAM, "Wha... I Did Not! You want a piece of me!?" Koro-sensei broke in before it could escalate, "Hey you two, quiet during the test." Terasaka sat back down, grumbling in annoyance. Vivian closed her eyes again, thinking that would be the end of it, when she heard Karma speak up. "Sorry Koro-sensei, I'm done with my test already so I'm just going to quietly eat my gelato." When Vivian heard that she had to look over to see what he was talking about. Vivian was shocked to see Karma, eating a frozen strawberry gelato, pulling it from who knows where as he took a long, slow, lick. Sensei shook his head in displeasure, "There is no eating in the classroom. Where did you even get that anyway?" Suddenly his eyes widened, "That's my gelato!! I bought it yesterday in Italy!" "Oops... my bad, this was yours? I found it in the faculty room." Karma gave a toothy grin, looking to the untrained eye completely apologetic, but Vivian saw his eyes were cold and calculated, watching Koro-sensei like a lion stalking its prey. For some reason Vivian felt a small smile come to her face as she watched him hunt, a warm feeling in her chest as she stared. She kept her eyes on Karma as she heard Koro-sensei scream, ""My bad?!" I had to fly through the stratosphere to keep it from melting on my way back!! Do you know how cold it is in the stratosphere?!?" Karma just gave him a bored look, "What are you going to do about it? Squishy punch me?" ""Squishy punch you"? No, I'm not. I'm just going to eat the rest of my gelato." Vivian quickly looked at the ground before looking back at her sensei, she could have warned him, probably should have considering her Master hadn't given her the order to kill him yet, but she said nothing, wanting to see how the rest of Karma's plan played out. Koro-sensei walked closer to take back his gelato. He stepped closer and suddenly a few of his tentacles exploded from stepping on the anti-sensei BB's Karma had surrounded his desk with. Before Sensei even adjusted to this development, Karma whipped out a gun, "Ha-ha, you fell for it again." Karma fired off three shots with Koro-sensei quickly dogging them all. Karma pulled back his gun, "I'm going to keep this up you know. You think I care if I disrupt your class? If you don't like it, kill my family, kill whoever you want, but once you do that you won't be a teacher anymore," Karma leaned close with a sadistic grin on his face, "You'll be a monster." Karma wiped the gelato all over Koro-sensei's clothes, "I have always wanted to kill a teacher." Backing off from his standoff he turned towards the door, giving a sweet smile and a wave over his shoulder, "Here's my test. I know I aced it. See you Koro-sensei, let's play again soon," with that Karma left the classroom. Vivian took a deep breath, drawing Karmas fading scent into her lungs as she closed her eyes, feeling her body almost calm, the same way it did when she breathed in Nagisa's scent. As she pondered over this new development, she practically drifted off in thought. Karma was right. Koro-sensei couldn't and can't hurt him, no matter what he does. It's a line Koro-sensei can't cross, but he's trying his best to push sensei right to that edge.
