9. Hello Sam

Max's POV

"I owe you am I right?"

I asked as I entered the car and Liz looked at me with a smirk.

"You know you do"

She agreed and I sighned

"28 Hamilton way, then home"

Liz nodded and started the car.

Casey's POV

"So Casey you're the one Stella picked as an employee. Lucky you I've heard her be quite specific about the criteria such had to meet"

I nodded, feeling tipsy even tho I had planned on staying sober.

"Well beeing nominated as schools best clearly helped it"

I chuckled as it sounded like I was bragging.

"Being a nerd helps you sometimes"

I added before looking out the window with a dreamy expression, my head cloudy.

Max's POV

I caught myself watching the younger through the mirror and smiling slightly as she turned to look out the window, her eyes seeming to get heavier.

"You like it?"

Liz asked further and I saw Casey nodding.

"Very much, Stella is the sweeetest and even tho I'm not yet allowed to participate in work fully It's quite fun"

She somehow didn't sound too convinced but I decided not to adress it.

"Can I unbuckle my seatbelt for a second?"

The yougest asked and Liz nodded.

"Of course"

She answered and Casey quickly took off her light jacket before tightening her seatbelt again.

"Do you all live together?"

She suddenly asked and I answered before Liz could.

"Pretty much"

I nodded

"The mansion, the spa hours took place at, that's where we spend most our time when we're in town."

Casey made a surprised noise and looked at me though the mirror.

"Well but we're also with our families from time to time.
It's just difficult sometime"

Liz added and I nodded in agreement.

Casey's POV

Over the chatting I hadn't even realised how far we had driven already.

So I was surprised when Liz suddenly brought the car to a stop infront of my house.

"Voila"

The eldest said and I chuckled as I opened my door, beeing met with a fresh prise.

"Thank you very much"

I thanked, bowing slightly before heading inside.

I didn't even hear the door fall into the lock, blaming it on my failed sobriety.

Just when I carefully twisted my key I heard the muffled cries out of the apartment.

Sam was having trouble sleeping lately.
One reason I hadn't wanted him to stay with my Nona as it was much work even at nightime.

So i quickly rushed inside, switching my dress with an oversize shirt that had way to low of a neckline for my taste so I wore it to bed, before heading into the bedroom.
