We were soaked to the bones once we arrived at the mansion.

I even heard the water dripping onto the floor when I stepped inside, Casey still in my arms.

But I didn't care about anything.

The only thing that was important to me was Casey, the pure soul that had been broken way too many times.

I carried her up the stairs, my arms numb by now.

"My sweet girl"

I whispered again, as I caressed her back, gently placing her on the ground where her legs gave their best to support her body.

She was still sobbing, her body shaking in horror.

"It- wasn't even- the cancer"

She cryed out before the most heartbreaking sob left her throat.

Within seconds I was with her again, closing my eyes as I pulled her into me.

"I'm so sorry"

I whispered, tears falling as I opened my eyes, pulling away to look at her.

"That's so unfair"

Casey whimpered and I had to swallow so I didn't start crying even more.

I whiped some of her tears with my thumbs but they got replaced by new ones immediatly.

She stood still like nothing, letting me take her soaked shirt off without a word.

"You're cold as ice"

I noticed in shock and Casey laughed while tears streamed down her face.
She was totally overwhelmed, in a state of horror and shock still.

"I'll get you something to wear"

I informed her before hurrying to get her one if my sweaters.

"Arms up"

I said softly and she just nodded, ringing for breath as she had been crying for so long already.

I pulled the soft fabric over her head, passing her some shorts as she took her bra off, aswell as her panties, remaining covered by the oversize sweater.

After that she sat down on my bed to put the shorts on.

"she was just supposed to spent the night.."

Casey said, her eyes with a shadow on them like she was in some kind of trance.

I didn't have any words so I stayed silent, getting up and walking over to my dresser, Casey remaining on the bed with her bare feet on the ground.

It was hard to leave her but I went over into the bathroom, redressing myself and quickly texting my brother.

'Andrew, this is an emergency.
You gotta go check on Sam- Caseys baby- because I think she left him unattended.
-
Spare key's under the stone like looking thing in the vase on the right - plz hurry and text me if he's alright!'

I hurried back to Casey, wrinkels of worry covering my forehead.

She had stopped crying but was staring into space now.

I pulled warm, fluffy socks onto her icy feet, rubbing them warm before coming up to her again.

"I'm here with you"

I informed her in a whisper tone, pecking her forehead and then I picked her up bridney style, placing her on the bed.

I wrapping her into the thick blanket, tugging it in on the sides of her body.
