15. Max with Sam

"Helloooo everyone!"

Jen shouted into the mikrofon and the crowd started screaming.

I laughed at the high pitched sounds and then the music started while the lights went out suddenly.

It went on again in colorful single dots that were only bringing light to the stage and we started performing while Liz began singing her part of the song.

We danced the first choreo perfectly and didn't have to get changed for the second.

For the third we rushed down to get put onto different outfits but were on stage again in a matter of seconds.

The fourth and fifth went great again and the fans seemed to love the new variations.

Before my last performance there was a sligtly bigger change because we got new makeup and different outfits so we had about five minutes to get changed.

We all went down the stage exhausted, quickly getting approached by countless staff members who whiped our sweat and gave us water before we got undressed already and changed into the new outfits.

They were all black, cropped and a bit loose because the next choreo was the most difficult.

I slurped to my makeup chair and fell into it, Stella quickly starting the work on my face.

As she was applying lipstick I looked across the room, spotting Casey on the side sofa.
I felt excitement seeing her, even more when I spotted the little person on her lap.

But I couldn't leave the chair so I just sat there, looking at Casey who was passing Sam some snacks before I had to close my eyes for the shadow.

Then Stella already stepped back, causing me to open my eyes again.

"What?"

I asked and she smiled.

"I'm done, you can go already"

She said, before leaving to check up on the other members makeup and I sat there surprised for a moment before quickly hurrying over to the side sofa.

"Casey!"

I called from afar and when she looked up I was met with tired eyes, which seemed to light up slightly as I walked towards her.

"Max!"

Casey said with a small smile and then she leaned down to Sam.

"There's Max again, Hello Max"

She said cutely, taking his little hand and waving it in the air.

"Hello Sam"

I waved back, knealing down a bit so I was on his eye level and he reached his hand out for mine.

I gave it to him and like the first time we had met he grabbed my pointer finger and held onto it before continuing to chew on his snack in the other hand.

When I looked up at Casey again I catched her smiling over our interaction and I suddenly noticed how close I was to her.

I could feel the warmth radiating off her and her familiar, significant smell of flowers and bubblegum made me feel warm aswell.

I somewhat grew nervous but it could've aswell been because of our next performance so I didn't pay any attention to it.

I opened my mouth to say something when I saw the first members hurrying back to the stage.

"I gotta-"

I said, looking at them and then back to Casey and she nodded.

Without saying anything she gently released Sams grip on my finger and this time when her hand brushed mine she hesitated for a second.
