BONUS CHAPTER

Seungmin immediately knew he had made a mistake going with Hyunjin.

"You did... what?" There was no attempt to conceal the pure horror that dripped from his words as he stared into the hypnotic red eyes unflinching.

"How else did you think you could continue to exist, Seungmin?" He stressed his name, lip curved upwards. Of course he gained joy from watching him squirm. "It was a small price to pay, and you should be thanking me that I so graciously took care of it for you."

"You killed him!" The hunter could no longer sedate his anger, shooting up from his chair, knee bumping into the mahogany dinner table between the two, porcelain dishes shaking from the force. "You know this as well as I, Seungmin, that there can't be two of you running around. So, I took care of it. People will think nothing of it, I've created a illusion to fill in his position for now while you were out playing hunter."

"Oh god..." He paused, shaky hand rising to his mouth to suppress the wave of nausea. "How old... was he...I?" The vampire didn't reply to his question, continuing to take long purposeful sips from a wine glass that very much did not contain wine, allowing for the hunter to draw his own conclusions.

Hyunjin had killed the Kim Seungmin of the present timeline. Though even he could recognize that it was something... necessary... that needed to happen, that does not mean he approved of the vampires continuous barbaric methods. He decided to chance one more question. "How long ago has he..."

It seemed he had asked a correct question, as Hyunjin places the cup back down, ruby eyes trailing his still stood form up and down. "9 years."

"Which means he's—"

"18 years old now. Perfectly the same as your current physical appearance, Seungmin."

"You..." The brunette paused, eyes never leaving the other as he slowly sank back into the plush cushioning of his chair. "Me getting nicked during training back then, that wasn't just an accident, was it?"

Hyunjin took a long sip of his drink.

The vampires gaze never left his form as he leaned against the sturdy wood of the doorframe, familiar chalice in hand once more, a red-coloured liquid filling it to the brim.

"Seungmin" Hyunjin spoke, voice carrying a sense of authority.

Seungmin would rather face a hunter's execution then have to listen to him once again. As though he could sense the others annoyance, the immortal sighed, yet never left his spot by the doors entrance. "You'll die if you don't drink soon."

It had only been 2 weeks since Seungmin had run away with Hyunjin. 2 weeks since he had abandoned his title to the crown. 2 weeks since he had been outed as a traitor to the District. 2 weeks since the hunter's gear had nicked him during training.

He ignored the dull thud of pain that ached from beneath his bandages.

"I'd rather that." The prince kept his words clipped, body facing away from the vampire as he poured over the maps he had managed to collect from all over the household. It appeared Hyunjin had a lot more useful documents and information than he let on.
