CHAPTER 10

"What do you mean all of them failed!" The king of Levanter's voice boomed throughout the darkening mapping room.

The lead army man gulped and exchanged looks with his fellow men before answering the king. "None of them reported back to us, and when we sent out a messenger, they found them all injured and slumped over in the enchanted forest."

"Damn those vampires" Younghyun pounded his fist on his mahogany table before he waved the solider's away. "Away with you, you are no longer necessary."

He looked out of the large golden trimmed windows of the room before his eyes locked onto the enchanted forest. His hand raised as he traced it through the glass. "If you need something done properly, you need to do it yourself."

Tearing himself away from the now fogged glass, he grabbed a hold of the golden handle of his silver blade before storming out of the study.

Harshly breathing, the princes shared a glance at each other. "I guess we really did it this time, no?" Felix asked, trying to lighten the mood.

"Yeah, like go against my father, attack his army, resist being rescued..." Jisung listed as he counted off his fingers.

Minho rubbed his shoulder slightly as he spoke. "Let's leave quickly before any more of them come along."

Awkwardly the princes climbed back onto the vampires back's before they took off once again, zipping through the golden leaves of the enchanted forest.

"So, what exactly do we need to do this... ritual?" Jeongin carefully picked his words, still uncertain about the entire situation. However, after defeating the soldiers who came to rescue him, he really was left with no other option.

"We'll setup everything, you just need to learn the song from Jisung and recite it as the moon rises once more." Hyunjin answered, glancing up to see where the sun had begun to set. "We're running out of time, those guards took longer than we anticipated."

"In that case, we just gotta speed up then" A playful tone resonated in Changbin's voice before he strengthened his hold upon the prince of Yellow Wood and dashed off.

"H-hey wait up!"

Minho let out a sigh as he watched his members dash off, before strengthening his hold on Jisung.

"Ready?" He asked.

The prince seemed to hesitate for a moment, before answering. "For some reason... I feel like I can trust you with my life."

The vampires eyes widened, and didn't allow for any more conversation as he sped up.

Felix's eyes widened as the cave slowly came into view. It was composed of numerous large boulders, with deep green vines growing around it. Golden yellow trees grew tall, and covered the cave from prying eyes.

He shifted off of the vampire's back as they landed in front of the grand cave, and cautiously made his way inside. The cave was much larger than it had appeared on the outside. Numerous large carvings decorated the grey walls, and the faint sound of flowing water could be heard.

"Woah.." The red-headed prince voiced his amazement, gently reaching up to trace one of the wall depictions.

But the wondrous joy quickly died out as reality began to set in. The vampires guided the princes further into the twisting cave before a large clearing within it was revealed. A hole within the ceiling of the rocks showed the sun had nearly completely set, an orange hue filling the once blue sky.

"We still have a bit of time before the moon rises, so we can rest up a bit." Minho spoke as he slowly slumped down the cold grey wall.

A growing sense of silence bloomed as everyone went to their own devices. Jisung was left standing, and with one glance at Minho, he decided to act on his suspicions.

He sat down beside the vampire, before clearing his throat to gain the olders attention.

"A-about what I said earlier" He paused to recollect himself. "You know something we don't know, don't you?" He gestured to the other princes.

This seemed to peek their attention as they slowly grew silent, eyes locked on the vampire.

"I.." He trailed off, and for once the vampire appeared to be flustered.

"It's true." Changbin spoke up.

"But what is?" Jeongin asked, confusion evident on his face.

"Why us?" Felix threw in his own comment. "This can't just be because of that lullaby Jisung's mother gave him. If that was the case, than she could have removed your immortality."

The cave was plunged into utter silence as the vampires didn't speak. They all looked away from the questioning eyes of the prince's.

"Well?!" Jisung stubbornly asked. "Why us? What do you know what we don't! Why do I feel such a connection to you!" His voice grew in volume.

"Because..." Chan began, but Changbin interrupted.

"Because you've known us"

"I think I would have remembered someone like you guys" Jeongin scoffed, crossing his arms, but not looking away from the vampires.

"No, you don't quite understand..." Chan tried interjecting politely, arms ushering for peace.

"Then tell us!" Jisung popped off again, arms raising up to symbolize his growing frustrations.

"Because you have all been..." Minho trailed off, glancing at everyone in the room before staring the fuming prince in the eyes. 

"It's because you've been reincarnated."

A/N: Shorter chapter since the last 2 chapters had been so long.. astrocrats is starting to wrap up and I don't know if I can handle :((( Slaving away at school work makes it difficult to write, but I promise I will try my best! I also have some new stories I'm working on that im excited to share soon!
