CHAPTER 16

╚═══*.·:·.☽✧ ✦ ✧☾.·:·.*═══╝

"Sun low, moon high, the unique gardens sits in pure silence. By the cruel that had once cried, long since no violence. Icy frost bloomed upon the pen, making the poor cry of innocence. The longer it ebbed, till all the scars were evident. Ire dwindled down, commanding the oath of beguilement. Dear naivety of my golden crown."

As the prince pulled away from the poem, he once more glanced up and out of his window, finally finding those peering eyes he had felt. As though time had slowed, Jisung slowly rose from his mahogany chair, pushing away from the now forgotten poetry.

Dark brown eyes locked with deep red ones, peering into his chamber. A lump formed in his throat that he struggled to swallow before the shadow warped, suddenly sat in the window sill. The wood creaked with the sudden weight.

"W-who-"

His words were silenced by the cold finger descending over his lips. His eyes grew wider by the bold move.

"It's just me, prince" The shadow's voice was like silk, complimenting his actions. "I just wish to talk with you, what with the whole ritual we have arranged" There was something hidden in those vermillion eyes that made Jisung curious, and with a bit of hesitance, he nodded. Instantly the hand is removed, and the cold night air seeps into his pores. His eyes trace the vampire's form, watching in estranged silence as it strolled around his room.

"W-what would you like to talk about?" Jisung could feel himself flush a bit from stuttering, hoping the other wouldn't be able to see the light pink that dusted across his cheeks.

"Why did you agree to do this ritual..?" Minho trailed off as he looked away from the prince, instead gazing out into the vast courtyard and the lavender fields that laid beyond.

"It's well.. you see.." The voice of the prince drowned out as the vampire continued to look out of the window, it's vermillion eyes locking with deep chocolate brown ones.

"You just can't let me go, huh?" The taller men let a smirk slide across his face as he tore his gaze from the outdoors, standing up from the mahogany he was perched on. "Huh?" Jisung questioned as he watched the vampire's movements with dazed eyes .

The immortal man approached him, each step he took forward the young prince took one step back until he bumped into his desk. An arm reached out before it stabilized itself on the wood, the vampire leaning in even closer.

Their breaths mingled from the close proximity of their faces, and silence fell upon them. "I shall see you tomorrow then, your highness?" A playful grin grew across Minho's face as he watched Jisung flush a deep shade of red from his bold movements, his lips quivering as he tried to comprehend what just happened and respond correctly.

Despite the gentle whistle of the wind or the graceful chirps of the nightbirds, the only sound the two could hear was Jisung's thumping heart. Had Minho had a beating heart, his would have joined in the rhythmic dance of the prince's.

No words were exchanged as they slowly inched closer, eyes shifting back and forth from eyes to mouth.

Jisung's eyes fluttered shut as he felt cold, yet gentle lips descend upon his. It was sweet and kind, a stark paradox to the cruel nature a vampire 'should' have. Meanwhile, the warmth of Jisung spread through Minho like wildfire, and if he wasn't certain he was a dead, he would have thought his heart jumped a little.
