Daenerys pov

Its been a three of days since the attack, and I was in the throne room, looking down as Ser Barristan who laid dead on a table. My friend who stood beside me and never betrayed me. When the sounds of the thunder and lightning came out of nowhere, I knew something was wrong. So, while I talked with the noble, who consistently asked for me to re open the pits, I send Daario to investigate. He returned not only Ser Barristans corpse, but also Smithy's and my Pirates. When I saw her laying there, I thought my world crashed. My heart began to break, but once I saw her breathing I felt the utmost relief I would ever get. Looking over at Smithy, I see his chest stained with blood, yet he too was breathing. I sent Smithy to the medics while my Pirate went to my room. Even though they were alive my Pirate was severely wounded, knife marks up and down her arms and bruises that covered her torso. I've had enough from these men, they will be punished.

"I'm so sorry, my queen. He was a good man." Says the noble gently.

"'Barristan the bold' they called him. He crossed a continent to serve me. He was a loyal friend, and he died in an ally. Butchered by cowards who hide behind masks." A tear leaves my eye, but I kept my composure.

"We could pull back to the pyramid district, secure it, and use it as a base from which to operate. Then we clean the city out, neighborhood by neighborhood, street by street until the rats have nowhere left to hide." Suggested Daario. I think for a moment before making my decision.

"I prefer your earlier suggestion. Round up the leaders do each of Meereen's great families and bring them to me." I order, turning around to meet Hizdahr. He looks at me with confusion and fear.

"But I'm the leader of my family." He says. I say nothing, as my Dorthraki takes the noble by the arms and takes him out of the room. Pleading that he had nothing to do with this. Looking down at Ser Barristan I say a silent prayer, wishing him the best in the after life. I needed to clear my head. So picking up my dress I head to where my children were being held.

Standing before the stone door of where my children were, I began to become nervous. My Pirate begged me not to lock them, but I needed to keep my people safe. Since Drogon was still nowhere to be found, my other two children had to be kept locked away. I nod my head as the two unsullied, who guarded to door, and they opened the door. Slowly I walked into the pitch black room, hearing nothing but the sound of my boots hitting the stone steps. When I reached the bottom I walked deeper into the room, waiting to a sign to tell me where my children are. That was when I heard the sound of their chains moving. My heart went to my throat as I called out to them.

"Viserion?" I called. Yet nothing.

"Rhaegal?" I called, again nothing. My breathing started to become uneven. Hearing the sounds of their chains coming closer. Suddenly fire blew from Viserion as Rhaegal tried to bite me. I took a step back, trying to talk to them. But they would not listen, blowing fire around me, as if they were trying to kick me out. In fear I began to walk back up the stair. Until the voice of my Pirate came to my head. Remembering that day at the clearing. "The way to tame a dragon is to gain their respect. Dragons are the most dangerous beasts, but they are also wise. You are their mother, and as their mother you have to teach them. You said that they understand high Valaryan. Train them to understand who deserves to burn, and those who do not. They will listen to you, because you are one of them." I stop and took a breath before turning around to meet my children. I walk back down the stairs and stood my ground. Growled and snapped at me, but I did not move.

"Iksis bona anyway naejot treat aōha muña? (Is that anyway to treat your mother?)" they snarled at me, as if they were telling me to leave. But I did not move. Slowly I walked up to them and held my hand out. They flinch, making me soften my gaze at them. I give them a gentle smile, before keeping my hand up. Waiting for them to come to me. They stared at me for a while, before Rhaegal came forth and stared at me. My violet eyes meeting his golden one, I give him a motherly smile as he slide his large snout onto my hand. He purred against my hand, as Viserion comes up and purrs as well. I lift my other hand and did the same thing, Viserion instantly nuzzles his bout into my hand.
