*Onyx pov*
So that was something. Ruby and I were in the elevator... for a while. She clicked on ALL the buttons. Seriously, how do you manage that?! Anyway, we finally reach Ozpin's office. Little does anyone know, I have a device planted in there so I heard EVERYTHING. Thing's are... tense to say the least. It was more evident when we entered.
Ruby: *nervous* Sorry we took so long. Someone accidently clicked all the buttons...
Onyx: It was her.
Ruby: *pouts at Onyx* Traitor.
Onyx: Hehehe.
We approach.
Ozpin: Thank you for coming Ruby, Onyx. How are you feeling?
Onyx: Could use a chai latte to wake me up.
Ruby: Well... okay I guess. I'd feel better if my bad guy catching score was more then 3.
The way they looked at us told us they were not in the mood for jokes. Yeah, the air now felt more tense then ever. Geez.
Ruby: *nervous* Okay so that's the tone we're going for, got it.
Onyx: ... *whispered* super awkward.
The Atlesian general whom we all know and love came to us.
Ironwood: Ruby, I feel its appropriate to let you know that what you did is exactly what being a huntress is all about. You recognized a threat, took action, and did the very best you could.
Ruby: Thank you sir.
Ironwood: However, I must say Onyx, I'm rather disappointed you did not take action yourself when you clearly noticed the threat at hand.
Onyx: Who says I'm not? Not all action is a display of martial skill or bravado. Sometimes, one takes action in the shadows, biding their time, gathering info, then finding the right time to strike. As a general, I'd half expect you to know of such tactical advantages.
Ironwood: I beg your pardon?
Onyx: While Ruby was dealing with the physical threat, I had Drax deal with a digital threat. Turns out our enemy had uploaded a sort of virus in the system that would've caused a lot of trouble. Thanks to my experience with computers, programing, and robotics, I was able to create an anti-virus along with many firewalls.
The three adults were speechless.
Glynda: How did... how did you manage that? you were at the dance and...
Onyx: You'd be surprised what I can do with my scroll and what Drax can do under my directions.
Ozpin: ... Right. Regardless, after the General gave us a briefing on the incident, we wished to see if you could provide additional information.
Glynda: Was anyone else with her? Did she look familiar to you at all?
Ruby: I... I don't know... She wore a mask and she never said anything to me. But I know she fought with glass. I don't think that was her semblance though. Her clothing lit up everytime she attacked.
That provides me with clues on Cinder. Seems she infused dust into her clothing... interesting. Perhaps I should do the same. Oh the possibilities. Though I wonder what kinds of Dusts would fit me best. A note for another time.
Glynda: Save for the glass, that sounds like the woman I fought the night we met Ruby.
Mentioning THAT night sparked my anger and made me clench my fists. That's right... she got away. Next time we fight, I wont be so sloppy.
