"Oh, you're back!" Yoongi said, looking up from the article he was reading. Seokjin had just returned from meeting with a friend. Yoongi was alone at the apartment as Jungkook had plans with Jimin for some wedding shopping.
"We're alone; Kook said he was going to be late. Jimin is still confused about his wedding suit, apparently," Yoongi said with an annoyed face.
Jin laughed. "I can't relate; I got married in a hurry since my ex was pregnant by that time. I rented mine, and she just got something off the rack."
"Oh! I think I will be like you too when I get married. I don't know why someone wastes so much time selecting a suit; isn't it all the same?" Jin shrugged, biting his lips a bit too hard. "It depends on people, I guess."
"How was your meeting?" Yoongi asked.
"It went well. I'm meeting a businessman who is looking for an artist to make custom pieces for his new hotel and a big piece for the lobby too, so if he agrees, it will give me good exposure."
"Oh, that's nice," Yoongi smiled at Seokjin.
Jin sat on the couch, taking out his phone and checking his texts while Yoongi went back to reading. "Yoongi ssi, your phone is ringing," Jin said after a while, seeing his phone lighting up repeatedly.
"It's Taehyung," he said without looking. "Are you not going to pick up?"
"Ohh, ignore it. He has been pestering me to go shopping. I put it on silent mode. He takes forever to finish shopping. I'm in no mood for that today."
When another call was missed, Jin noticed Yoongi's lock screen. It was an old picture of Jungkook and Yoongi; they both looked very different in them, posing awkwardly in what seemed like a restaurant. Jungkook had his short hair and no lip ring, and Yoongi had blonde hair.
"Is this picture old?" Jin asked. Yoonghi looked in the direction Jin was looking and smiled wide. "It's from our first date. Our waitress took the picture."
Jin smiled. "You both look very different."
"We do, right? It was so awkward, worst first date ever, but it worked out somehow. Can't believe it's been almost 4 years," Yoongi said, looking at the pictures fondly.
Jin sighed and nodded slightly. "So Kookie said you were his first boyfriend; was it the same for you too?" Yoongi shook his head. "Oh no, I had a few relationships before, only one serious one; he broke up with me long before I met Jungkook."
Jin looked at Yoongi. "Didn't you think it was strange that he didn't have anyone until then?" Yoongi nervously laughed; he knew that Jin had no idea about Jungkook's one-sided love for him. "No, it's a personal choice, I think," he answered.
"Yuri was my first too." Jin said, running his hand through his hair.
Yoongi felt uncomfortable that he was still stuck on the topic; he didn't know why he was asking him such questions. Even though Jungkook and Jin were close, Jin hardly ever talked to Yoongi other than when it was necessary, but today was different. He was back in his rapid questioning mode, just like the first time he met. "Yeah, Jungkook told me. I'm really sorry you had to go through that. So is your daughter okay with all this, if you don't mind me asking?" Yoongi tried to divert the topic smoothly.
Jin raised his eyebrows and looked at Yoongi before answering, "She cried a lot at first, begged us not to do it, but I think she had an idea that we were not really doing well overall—the constant fights and stuff. She is young but is very mature for her age. So now she is fine; gets to live with me on vacations; the rest of the time is with her mom in Japan."
Yoongi nodded. "Hmm. It's hard, I know. My older brother actually got divorced too about 6 years ago; he was a mess, but you look more put together outside."
