~~~~~"Daddy!" Ivory yelled, immediately causing Bucky to look around frantically.
Bucky sighed in relief when he saw Ivory excitedly pointing at an antelope over in the far area outside of the border.
"A cantaloupe, a cantaloupe!" Ivory screamed making Bucky try to hide his laughter.
"It's 'Antelope' baby doll."
"That's what I said daddy! It's a Cantaloupe!" Ivory says causing Bucky to chuckle.
"You hungry?"
"No..."
"You didn't eat much lunch. You want a snack?"
"Umm...YES!" Ivory says excitedly.
"What are you in the mood to snack on?"
"Umm...tan I have a Peach?"
"You want a peach?"
"Uh-huh!"
"You got it kiddo...A Peach for my Peachy girl." Bucky chuckled pulling out the picnic basket. Whenever it was farm day, Bucky always made sure to bring extra snacks along for the two of them to enjoy. Ivory ran over to the basket and picked a peach out.
"Okay...Daddy's gonna go feed the goats remember to put your shoes on if you wanna come with me when you finish." Bucky says to the girl.
"Kay!" Ivory says running over the man, crashing into his side. Bucky smiled as Ivory gave him the biggest hug and he gently ruffled her hair before turning to go to the goat pen.
"Daddy wait!" Ivory said.
"What? What's the matter Peach?"
"Y-You forgot to start it...tan you help me?" Ivory says holding the peach out to the man. That was their thing. Bucky would always start off Ivory's fruits, taking the first bite for her and she would always do the rest on her own. By now it was routine.
"Ivory, You're a big girl! I want you to try..."
"But I can't its hurts my teeth." Ivory says pouting, making sure to stomp her little bare foot for emphasis.
"Come here..." Bucky says. Ivory slowly walked over to Bucky and refused to make eye contact with the man.
"Look at me..." when Ivory looked up at Bucky she had the famous crocodile tears rolling down her cheeks, and Bucky sighed at how dramatic his daughter was.
"Why are you sad? You're not in trouble."
"I-I'm sad b-because you don't want to h-help m-me."
"No, that's not true. What did I say?"
"Th-That I'm a big girl?"
"Yes. I said you're a big girl, and that I want you try... I didn't say I didn't want to help you, you know daddy would never say that. Get that out of your head..." Bucky said, wiping Ivory's tears away.
"Do you really need me to help you? Because I think you can do it on your own."
"I-I can't do it."
"What did I say about using that word?"
"I not allowed to..."
"Can't isn't a word. You need to start saying you can...say it with me...I Can!"
"I-I tan!" Ivory says.
"Can...with a C..."
"I Can!" Ivory says wiping her eyes with the back of her hands.
