"Hey Ivory..." Steve says approaching the girl who had been intensely staring out the Window. He attempted to gently grab the girl's hand but she yanked it back, backing away from Steve.
"It's okay sweet girl, I'm only here to help you..." Steve says calmly getting on the girl's level.
"No...I want Nana. Where's Nana?" Ivory asked looking around for the woman in all the chaos.
It's like Natasha had some kind of supersonic hearing when it came to Ivory's voice because she saw Steve trying to calm Ivory down and it seemed she was giving the man a hard time.
"Hey...I'm right here..." Nat says getting on Ivory's level.
"What did we talk about with your Daddy earlier?" Nat said trying to remind the girl.
"Nana and Uncle Steve will keep me Safe?" Ivory said.
"That's right...so you need to listen to Uncle Steve okay? Your Dad said...Uncle Steve is your God father and he is here to protect you..."
"God father?" Steve asked confused.
"So that means if Nanny isn't around to be in charge, you listen to your Uncle Steve okay? Your Daddy made those rules for a reason..." Natasha says sternly to the girl looking back out the window to see more alien ships setting up shop outside of the dome.
"Okay...Sorry Nana...Sorry Uncle Steve..."
"It's okay sweetheart, we're just trying to figure out the best way to make sure you stay safe..." Steve says.
"Now listen to me...Nana and I are going to go help your dad..." Steve says. "Until we come back, I want you to stay here with Shuri, and my good friend Wanda. Okay?"
"Umm..." Ivory says nervously watching as most of her security system was leaving the lab.
"I promise you are safe here...We will be back for you okay?" Steve says.
"Okay." Ivory nods.
"Wanda!" Steve calls out to Wanda getting the woman's attention.
"You're in charge of backing up the Dora Milaje and Shuri while she removes that stone..." Steve says.
"I'm on it Cap." Wanda replies.
"Also...Guard this one with your life." Steve says gently ushering Ivory right beside the woman.
"You have my word." Wanda says staring down at the small girl.
"No! Nana!? Nana don't leave!"
"We'll be back for you sweetie okay?" Nat says before following Steve out the door of the lab.
When the room was cleared out, it was only the few members of the Dora Milaje standing guard.
Shuri had been overhead operating machinery that was supposed to aid in the removal of the mind stone, and while Shuri began working on that, Ivory stayed with Wanda and Vision who had still been sprawled out on the table nearby.
"Hi there...I know you don't remember me but I remember you..." Wanda says as the shy girl slowly backs away.
Ivory wanted to make a run for it, but she knew she had to listen to what Natasha said if she wanted to see her father again.
