ᴏɴᴇ ᴍᴏɴᴛʜ ʟᴀᴛᴇʀ"I wish I knew what people think of me."
Izzy turns to look at Thalia, planted on the log next to her. She immediately felt drawn to Thalia, as soon as she came up.
"What do you mean?"
"I just... You know, what people like or hate about me, how they perceive me."
Izzy understands, nodding in reassurance. Although she can't remember anything, she can still feel it. That sense of not belonging.
"I know how you feel, Thal."
Thalia looks at her, her hair tangled in her face.
"Even though I can't remember why... I can still remember the feeling."
"What kind of feeling?"
Izzy shrugs, not sure how to explain. Thalia understands this.
"𝘐 𝘸𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘪𝘧 𝘸𝘦'𝘭𝘭 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦."
Izzy's head whips up at the sound of the voice, glancing over at Thalia.
"Did you say something?"
"Huh? No, I didn't say anything."
"𝘰𝘬𝘢𝘺, 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘸𝘦𝘪𝘳𝘥."
"What's weird?"
Izzy nearly jumped out of her skin as the sudden voice.
"What?!"
"You said, okay that was weird."
"No, I didn't."
"But I heard your voice."
"I wasn't speaking out loud, how did you know?"
"I told you, I heard it."
"But I was- thinking it."
"Wait- what?"
"𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴?"
"Oh. My. Finch."
"Wait, let me try."
"𝘺𝘦𝘴, 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶."
"What kind of klank is this? Why can you talk to me in ya' head?"
"Hell if I know, Iz. But, you've gotta admit, it's a right bit cool."
"I suppose. It'll take a while to get used ta'."
