OCTOBER 28TH, 2022.
— Sitting at the desk at her shared dormitory desk chair, was nineteen-year-old Lorraine Marsh. A beautiful, rueful young girl, who had just moved from Woodsboro California to New York City.
The reason she moved was to get away from her overprotective, overstepping family, that gave her no space or freedom whatsoever. That wasn't the only reason she moved though. She had been offered a spot in Blackmore University, one of the most prestigious universities in all of NYC.
She was currently majoring in writing, and had been at Blackmore for almost a week, and counting.
The third reason she moved was to get away from a infamous killer from her hometown that reigned terror on her and her friends.Honestly, Lorraine wasn't interested in meeting people, and making friends. She was only there for her education and then she'd leave and seek a job of her choice. If she was gonna be going there for a full of four entire years, she'll have to get extra comfortable with the students and teachers.
Plus, she already had friends from her old town that moved here to NYC with her, such as her friend Mindy, Tara, Chad, and Taras sister Sam.
She had been friends with them for years. She was never afraid to speak her mind whenever she so pleased, and was always one to speak her mind when she felt it was right to. She felt revolted by people who disagreed with her, and felt the need to express it as well.
Lorraine knew she was a bitch, and she stood by it, but she didn't accept disrespect from anybody, no matter how horrible or harsh that sounds.Lorraine had long flowing dark brown hair that she always has tied in a knot at the top of her head, cavernous downturned light green eyes, and pale white porcelain skin. Her closet consists of tube tops, baggy jeans, docs, converse, turtle necks, and shorts, along with some of her unique designed jewelry sets that she keeps hidden so nobody can take it.
Lorraine grew up in a middle-class family, with only her single mother.
Her father left the picture on her eighth birthday. He was driving to the store to pick up her cake and balloons, when a drunk driver going eighty, drove headfirst into his car, instantly killing him.
The drunk driver was caught, and was put on trial, then eventually arrested. The man would then be in jail for seven and a half years, and he died four years in, seeing as he was already sixty-seven.That day, on her eighth birthday, she had to be told she'd never see her father again.
Then, when Lorraine turned sixteen, she fell pregnant. Her mother didn't let her keep the baby, and she had an abortion. Her mother never told her why she didn't let her have a baby, and she still doesn't have the slightest idea.
Now, nineteen, and at the very beginning of her freshman term, she walks around with her head held high. When she knows a question, she raises her hand. When she has a question, she asks.
She isn't afraid to take risks, no matter how hard or terrifying they may be.
-
"Lorraine?" Charlotte, her roommate, asked with a note of hesitation.
"Yes, Charlotte?" Lorraine said in the same tone of voice, with an annoyed side eye directing to Charlotte, on the other side of the small dormitory.
"Do you have the answers to question eighteen? I've been trying to answer it forever but I still can't seem to understand it-" Charlotte uttered.
Lorraine huffed and nodded her head up and down in indication. She then slid her paper in the direction of the other girl and tapped her pencil on question eighteen, in indication to copy her paper.
"You're a saint Lorraine." Charlotte breathes out, to which gained a snort from Lorraine. "Anything but actually."
"Don't ever talk about yourself like that! You're great!" Charlotte said with a smile, trying to boost Lorraines already half beaten ego.
