Chapter Eight: Movie Marathon

NOVEMBER 2ND/3RD 2022.

— Ethan waited patiently for Lorraines arrival to his and Chads dorm, so that they could have a horror movie marathon together.

Lorraine drove to his house, her heart still pounding loudly from the wild events form earlier. She was wearing a black plain shirt with long hanging sleeved tucked into dark denim baggy jeans, and black converse. She pulled back into the parking lot to Blackmore, and started walking over to Ethan and Chads dorm.

Lorraine walked around the complex, having the nerves get to her, as she hesitates to knock on his door when she spots it.

She eventually knocks, and waits for him to open the door. She hears a thud on the other side of the door, making her eyebrows furrow with confusion. The door suddenly jolts open, with a disheveled looking Ethan looking back at her.

"Lorraine! Hi!" Ethan says with an infectious grin on his face, looking her up and down with a grin. "Hi Ethan." Lorraine replied, with a grin resembling his.

"Come in, come in. I've chosen some movies" he says leading her into the living room, that has blankets, pillows, popcorn, and candy for the two of them.

The first movie they watched was The Ring, which they both enjoyed. Then Carrie, then The Black Phone, then the last movie they watched was Get Out.
It was currently 2am, with Lorraine sleeping on Ethans shoulder, with him trying not to move at all, in case he wakes her up.

Ethan looked at her resting, peaceful face. He's never seen her like this. He's never seen her look so at peace, like she looks now. She looks beautifully at peace in her sleep, but when she wakes up she's angry at the world. She's angry at what her life could have possibly been if something would have went a different way than it originally did.

Ethan understood her more than she thought. Ethan had his entire life planned, and it went nowhere close to what he anticipated. He knew that Lorraine had a rough past that she wished so desperately that she could change.

When Ethan was eighteen, he and his father killed his mother. He honestly didn't want to, but was ultimately forced to, or his father would killed him too.

Ethan understood her. He really did. He understood what it was like to be different in the world, or to want much different things.

Ethan started acknowledging his feelings for her only a fews day ago, during Mindys rant about who the suspects were, and what to expect in a franchise.

Now, with her head on his shoulder, the heat rushed to his cheeks wildly just at the feeling of weight on his shoulder. He wanted to know what she dreamt of. All the good, and all the bad. He wants to see everything that has to do with her. He didn't care about the bad things that she did, he liked her nonetheless.

Ethan had always been second to his brother Richie, and his sister Quinn, but now he was gonna make his first priority, her.

Ethan rested his head on the back of the couch after a few minutes of thought. He slowly drifted off into a deep sleep, thinking about the girl right beside him.

THE NEXT MORNING.

Lorraine woke up to her head on someones shoulder. Confused, she looks up, then remembers her night with Ethan. She smiles at his sleeping form. Ethans eyes were shut, mouth was slightly open, and his head was tilted.

She looked at him once more, doing a double take, before grabbing her phone out of her back pocket.

She had at least 3 messages, a few from different people. One shocking her the most. Billy.
